I've been here a few times, and to be honest the first few times didn't really impress me - but came here recently with friends and was pleasantly surprised. The food was beatifully cooked and presented, as always, and the service was a lot friendlier than the last time I was there. I'd been a bit apprehensive at first, having heard that they'd picked up a few awards recently and expecting they would be a lot more snobbish, but it was quite the opposite! Waitstaff were attentive and food came out at perfect intervals. Getting given serving bowls and cutlery with each dish was a nice touch as well, as was getting our rice served for us by the waitress. I ended up having a very pleasant meal and a great night, will definitely be returning.

This restaurant is beautiful! good location, they serve great sensational food, they have a good wine selection, the staff are very friendly, its pricey but your paying for quality

we come here alot. the food is good and they have a so many choices on the menu. the duck is amazing and it is my favorite. the staff are nice and they have an extensive wine collection.

i advised i had not very high opinions of this place but when we went there i was very impressed. the curries were delicious and the staff were very nice. the prices are very good as-well.

This is such a beautiful place to have a special meal when celebrating or just as a treat. They offer an interment setting and depending or what you want you want to spend there is something on there menu for every body. My husband and I went for our anniversary and had a wonderful time and it only came to about $35each. we had a lovely time and I highly recommend especially for a special occasion

I had the best meal ever at Malayan Orchid recently. The service was superb, they have a fantastic range of local wines and the food was amazing. The range is extremely good and well presented. Love the decor and general atmosphere of this restaurant.

Came in recently for a meal, and was really disappointed. We were out to celebrate a special occasion, and that was what made us pick the restaurant touted as "the best Asian cuisine in town" - but sadly they did not live up to the hype at all. We were a party of four, and over an hour after placing our order, we still had not received our meals. When we asked about it, just wondering when it would be coming as we were all pretty tired and hungry, we were told rudely by the manager that the kitchen was busy that night, and our order had just been placed less than 15 minutes ago. We were practically told that we would just have to wait. While I understand that they may have been busy, there was no reason for such an attitude. Indeed their entire restaurant has an air of snobbery about it, you feel like they are judging you from the moment you walk in. Perhaps our meals were not regarded as being "important" enough as they weren't overly expensive, I don't know. But either way I don't think I will be back for a very long time, at least until they learn to respect people and treat their customers accordingly. Bottom line is, their food is good (if a little pretentious) and their decor beautiful - come to this restaurant if you don't mind really long waiting times, and poor service.

Entering the restaurant you can see that a lot of care has been lavished on the decor. The menu is extensive and covers a wide variety of dishes. Our waiter was confident and helpful. We waited a short time before our meal arrived. It was delicious. The wine list is available. They also do takeaway.

We have eaten here a number of times. The food is good with plenty of variety. The waiter was very polite and helpful in explaining dishes on the menu. I think its well worth a try.

I have had a few meals here and overall pretty satisfied, nice food , ok dining rooms but i cant really see that it lives up to the rewards it has been given.
