We've had such a lovely weekend! The kids were excited to see all the bedding choices and couldn't believe we got to stay in a 'mansion'!! We will definitely be back but for a week next time! Franco Family.
This house is truly amazing and all the facilities were provided for us! We really enjoyed our stay. it was spacious but also cozy. Thank you! We will definitely be back. Wendy and Friends.
We stayed a night - wish it was a month! what a house! What a view! What an experience! Thank you Nicky
We would like to say that we had a great time staying here at MannaGum. The house is excellent with all of its space and facilities. We really enjoyed the fire place plus its close proximity to Mt Buller. We would like to thank Nicky for allowing us to stay. We will definitely recommend this house to all of our friends. We will be back, thank you.
We were so happy with Mannagum. The online photographs just don't do this beautiful house justice. Very very comfortable with some lovely additional touches. Feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs was a lovely bonus. The house is situated so close to the gates of Mount Buller and coming home to MannaGum and its roaring log fire after a hard days skiing is just what every weary traveller needs. Thank you Nicky
Approximate cost: $1080 for 2 nights (weekend peak snow season)
It was a pleasure hosting you Emily, and I look forward to seeing you again next time you book.
It's truly was a home away from home. Nicky the owner has thought of everything. Our kids loved the adventure beds and enjoyed the outdoor fire.
Can't wait to book again.
Looking forward to seeing you and your family again Bim.
BUYER BEWARE! Slapped with a huge ($150) cleaning fee when house was left clean and tidy by any normal families standards....OCD levels clearly reqd. Billowing smoke from grill when we tried to use. Rude accusatory remarks under breath when we requested more dishwashing tablets. NB..if you actually use the kitchen you WILL pay!! Suited more if going with adults .....but kids room???? this is actually more accurately a small landing at the top of the stairs fully open (noise wise) to the other living area with seating for only 3 !! and glass side tables everywhere....totally impractical for children. Owner unwilling to negotiate extra fee and did enter the premises without knocking or at least using front door whilst we were there???? Very odd?? Plenty of other choices for families with similar conveniences...go elsewhere.
I am upset and shocked by this review as the other person who stayed with this lady left a very different review - see janetp6 below. There were 8 children who stayed for 4 days and they did make a big impact on the house. The house was left poorly - the first time I have ever charged a cleaning bond - it took 3+ extra hours to clean. I knocked and entered at their request to deliver additional dishwashing tablets. Some people you just cant please!
Great location and facilities, and a beautiful house in a street bordering bush land. We had 8 kids with us so the only drawback is that while there are 2 living rooms, the 2nd is on a landing at the top of the stairs ... the noise carries!
Glad you enjoyed your stay Janet
We were surprised and impressed by the size of the accommodation, it's comfy warm home feel and convenience for our snow weekend. All the kids loved playing hide and seek due to all the compartments and loft style beds, even us adults joined in the fun. Thank you very much, I would definitely recommend staying here to others and will be back again next season.
Glad you enjoyed the Lodge experience Shane and I look forward to seeing you aback again.
MannaGum Lodge is a wonderful place to stay for several families while in the Alpine area. Highly recommend and would stay at again.
Looking forward to having you all again.
Nicole was very friendly and attentive. The accommodation was perfect, and exactly what we were looking for an needed. Very highly recommended.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at the Lodge and had such a great time at the snow....1 meter of natural snow base is fabulous fun!
Thank you Nicky for everything, specially caring about kids & us, We would love to come again. Bobish and family Melbourne and friends from Sydney
Looking forward to you comingback and sharing the peace and quiet in this lovely part of the world.
We have travelled the world and had many fine experiences, but to stay in a true home in a pristine part of the world is the ultimate. Well done Nicky Goudberg. We will be back!!
Wow! I do try to provide a comfortable 'home away from home' experience - I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
What an incredible place! A beautiful house set in perhaps an even more beautiful location.
This place is exactly what we were after, a place to relax and enjoy the company of good friends.
only a couple of minutes drive from Mount Buller gates, it would also be incredible to recover after a day of skiing.
A big thank you to Nicki for making our stay so wonderful.
So glad you enjoyed your stay Shae and thanks for taking the time to review the Lodge...and please come again. its currently snowing here.....
If you're looking for a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful and beautiful getaway, this place is a real gem.
Our small group absolutely loved MannaGum Alpine Lodge. The big floor to ceiling windows, the super comfortable beds, the crackling fire and the wonderful service provided by Nicki. This place has everything!
Only 2 minutes from the gate up to Mt Buller (Even though there was no snow for us) and 20 minutes out of Mansfield.
We did not want to leave!
Highly recommend MannaGum Alpine Lodge to anyone needing to get away and recharge the batteries in a beautiful alpine bush setting.
Thanks Nicki!
Thanks Rohan - glad you enjoyed the break from your busy life in our peaceful part of the world!
We had a great time! the house was very comfortable, and had a well kitted out Kitchen!
Lovley bush setting! Loved the fresh eggs each day
Plenty of Beds!
Thank you Mark I am so glad you and the MTB crew had a great stay and did so well on the bikes. Hope to see you again next time you compete up here.
For a large two family group, this one is the go. Fits 4 adults and the 7 kids with ease and is just down the mountain. Despite the disappointment no snow on Mt Buller, we did a daily adventure convoy on each day of the weekend. I was impressed by Kings Valley, exhausted by part of the rail trail and the kids did not get lost in the High Country Maze. The fire at night at Lodge heated the whole lounge/kitchen area saving us Queenslanders from freezing to death in Victoria.
Approximate cost: $1560
Thanks John - pleased you and the family got out and about to enjoy what the high country has to offer. Its so much more than just the snow!
