We've recently started going to the Marine Hotel with our kids. The food is really good, and they have reasonably priced kids meals which are high quality (no frozen nuggets). If you can grab a shop-a-docket from Woolworths in Church St, you'll get two for one main courses which makes it really good value.

We haven't received any of the poor service mentioned in some of the other reviews so maybe they've had a management change or lifted their game.

The food is always good but sometimes the staff let them down as they are not the quickest if you are in a hurry. Great value if you use the shopper dockets from Safeway/Coles as you can redeem a free meal when you purchase a meal and 2 drinks.

Very noisy place to eat dinner, overally the food is good but it's far too expensive for a hotel. Staff are absolutely hopeless, they have no idea what's on the menu and it takes them forever to serve you at the table. Decor is quite modern and the high ceilings make it feel really big in there. Overall the place is ok but there is definately room for improvement

The food is very good at The Marine, however the service is very poor. The wait staff don't really know what they are doing and the manager is downright agressive - I will not be returning.

I often use the shopper dockets which give one main meal free here. The Entertainment books also include the Marine Hotel. I like their twice cooked duck. They have some specials on different nights but without going for the special deals it can be pricey!

I really love the marine hotel. If you shop at Safeway in Brighton you can get shopping dockets where you can get two meals for the price of one there. the food is lovely and really well priced. There is an older crowd that goes there these days but I still love it. They also have pokie machines which are good too!
