Nice atmosphere, good chocolate if you're into milk chocolate but heap of other sweets too handy location just near the cinemas and i agree with others that the chocolate frappe is just to die for. What i dont like is the fact, Max Brenner, the owner, is an Israeli businessman who provided the Israeli Army with chocolate treats in their ration packs before they unleash artillery and tank gun fire into Palestine to kill women and children.

This place makes the best chocolate frappes and is conveniently located next to the VIllage Cinema complex and is open to very late. Great place to catch up with friends after movies.

I love this place. It's a favourite for sure. Great for a date night with hubby or a coffee with the girls. It's a little pricey but worth it if you want to indulge. I highly recommend the white chocolate chai! Yum! And the waffles! Hubby also enjoys the crunchy pizza! (Think a thin pizza base covered with melted chocolate, marshmallows and cornflakes!) never had a issue with service or cleanliness.

Approximate cost: $25)

Yummmm! We love Max Brenner! The closest one in Sydney used to have a 30 minute line out the door every Saturday night, too :D

First, let's be fair. The chocolate drinks, snacks and so on are very nice and tasty, albeit, overpriced. The atmosphere is good and it would be a nice to place to end the night after seeing a movie. But that's where the good part ends, at least for our regular group of Saturday night movie goers.

The Saturday evening staff, particularly later in the night, should know that when a customer sits at the table, the table should be clean. If it's not, then the staff should be aware and clean the table asap and not have to be asked three times to do so.

On our previous experience, we ordered cakes with our coffees and hot chocolates. They eventually came without cutlery. I asked the staff to bring some cutlery which never arrived. Returning to the counter, I again, asked for cutlery. The waiter grabbed 8 forks and knives from a bucket of used cutlery (from other customers), took a serviette, wiped them and gave them to me.

When I said "you're kidding me, right?", he said "what do you mean". I told him it wasn't my job to explain the importance of hygiene and common sense and that he should ask his manager. His response, "I am the manager".

I called Max Brenner head office the following Monday and politely explained what happened. They listened and said they'd get back to me after investigating. They never did.

Last night, our group of friends wanted coffees after watching Iron Man 3 (great movie by the way..). Max Brenner was the only place open at the complex so again, off we went.

Of the vacant tables, none were clean. We sat down, all 8 of us and we asked a waitress if we could have the table cleaned. A few minutes went by and I saw her leaving and going home. Obviously, she forgot about us. I asked at the counter and finally after a third request, someone came and cleaned the table.

And so, we ordered our coffees and hot chocolates. We also asked for a bottle of water. What we got was a bottle of warm water from the tap. This is why taps are labelled 'H' and 'C'. H means Hot and C means cold. Max Brenner staff, please take note that you only serve water from the 'C' tap.

Overall, whoever is training the staff at Max Brenner needs to be trained himself. Im sure the staff are nice people, but the company needs to improve their level of service, perception and common sense. Some people may be happy to dine in a supposedly upmarket cafe with poor hygiene, snooty and at times, non existent service. Unless this cafe' improves on these points, I don't think we'll be going back.

Very disappointed.

I went there the other day... WOW. Their chocolate is the best!!! Although the prices are very high, it is to be expected considering the quality of the desserts they offer. When I went there, there were not many people. Also, it's right next to the cinema in Westfield so there are a lot of other places to shop around in. I'm obsessed with Max Brenner!!!

Approximate cost: $8.50 (For chocolate-dipped strawberries)

The chocolate is really delicious my favourite is the chocolate truffle. Nice atmosphere really beautiful store great selection for gifts. Delicious range of cakes and my favourite hot chocolate made with melted chocolate is to die for ! I highly recommend this place lots of tables, intimate and spacious inside nice and close to the cinema and other restaurants. The coffee is also very good. They have really nice brownies, and waffles with chocolate ice cream and strawberries , chocolate fondue , really love this place. It gets pretty busy because its so good but definitely worth a wait.

Max Brenner is expensive, and you often have to queue for a little while to get served. But, once you have your drinks, it is quite good. I last had a White Hot Chocolate, and it was fantastic.

Approximate cost: $6

For those who have seen Charlie and the Chocolate factory... this comes pretty close! The place is a temple dedicated to anything chocolate related and the quality of the menu items reflects their dedication to ensuring that your experience is bar none!

I ordered the banana praline crepes and had a mint chocolate hot chocolate with it and it was pretty much chocolate overload... but it was soooo good! The crepes were thin and just the right level of softness with crispiness and the bananas were not over ripe blended with a smooth hazelnut praline topped with chocolate on top made it one decadent dessert! The choc mint hot chocolate had just the right hint of mint flavor and did not overpower the chocolate flavor. The prices whilst we initially thought were high, are actually good value for what you receive as the quality is very good.

Highly recommended after a meal or a movie!
