The Melbourne Aquarium is a great place for a family outing. There are all sorts of fish to sea and also the much loved Penguins to see. If you go in the School holidays they will also have some special guests like last School holidays they had Club Penguin there. What a spectacular view to see all those different type of sea creatures. There is also a touch and feel section. A worthwhile day out.

We found the aquarium staff very easy to work with for our wedding planning. the food was excellent and the chef was accomadating with our dietary requirements (some non pork and non gluten etc). The venue is really spectacular and we were very happy to offer our overseas guests a slice of Melbourne's unique modern atmosphere. We were very happy with our wedding reception at the Melbourne Aquarium.

thanks so much Eva and Randy

went here a few times over the years and the admission prices have been creaping up to the point your better off getting an unlimited yearly pass then paying two times i mean $32 to get in or $65 for a pass that gives you unlimited entry for a whole year. its a good place to go relax watching the sea life without gettin wet at all

Approximate cost: $30

I have been to the Aquarium a few times and recently, we were trying to work out where to go to as a Family. I thought that we might go to the Aquarium as the Children loved it. After looking at the Prices, we were turned off going. We are a large family (my Husband, myself and our 4 Children - 10, 8 and 18 month old twins) and for us to go would cost us $85 - just in admission. If we were to go by publlic transport or Car, our day out would be around about $140. I understand that they are a business and that they are in it to make money however, in this day and age when things are tight, they need to consider adjusting their admission fees to attract more people. When we've been in the past, we've spent around 2 hours there - it doesn't take long to get through the whole place at all. It's simply not worth the money.

Approximate cost: $In our case, $85 for 2 Adults and 4 Children (under 3's are free)

It's very enjoyable aquarium to have a look around at for a short time - I went with some friends and we used discount coupons but it was still quite expensive for the amount of time we were there and what we got out of it - a few pretty photos and something to do for an hour or so. I'd go again sometime in the future but probably not for quite a while unless they have something new there.

I have been here 2 times. The second time I took my kids and it cost a fortune!! They did love seeing the giant squid though. They really enjoyed every part of it. $10 for a photo with the giant shark mouth is a bit much though same as the entry fee

We recently visited the aquarium and was lucky enough to see the penguins. We cued for 20 minutes but the lines did move quite quickly. It was Worth going and paying the over the top admission charge to see the penguins. However if they hadn't been there I think $33 is way too much to pay.

Approximate cost: $33

Went there with the kids on a saturday morning. Overall it was good value. We got the family pass, so that helped. Kids loved it. Especially the huge tank. We were fortunate enough to catch the feeding time which was a lot of fun.

Approximate cost: $75
