We recently had the exterior of our weatherboard house and front fence painted by the team at Melbourne House Painters (MHP). We have been extremely happy with the service provided from the initial quote, carpentry work to replace rotten boards and the finished paint works. Everyone that we dealt with at the company was extremely friendly, professional and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. A special thanks to Scott for his site visits and updates – it made us feel very looked after; Paul, our carpenter, for doing an amazing job on replacing the rotten weatherboards; and of course Laslo and his team of painters for their attention to detail, professionalism and great paint job. The finished result was beyond our expectations and we have had lots of complimentary comments on our new fresh paint job. We would definitely use MHP again and would recommend them without hesitation.

Grant was very efficient in getting the quote to me, and arranged for my job to start earlier than originally planned to fit in with other work I was having done. Jason did my painting, was always friendly and did a great job. I had all eaves and external woodwork painted on my two story home and it looks fabulous, a pleasure to come home to in the evening.

I have recently had MHP paint the exterior of my weatherboard house ground and first floor. This company has been an absolute pleasure to deal with from the first contact I had with Scott. The attention to detail was exceptional, they completed the work in a timely manner which included sanding, undercoating, and 2 top coats, all painters were extremely polite, they cleaned up each day without a trace. When they were not coming due to weather conditions I always received a phone call. This is the only company I will turn to in the future for all my painting needs. Grant and the team did an excellent job repairing and painting our bayside weatherboard. High quality, well organised, reasonably priced. Our house now looks amazing and the job was done with minimal fuss. When unforeseen issues arose I was always sent a photo and given a list of options on how they could be resolved and our priorities where their key concern. I wouldn't look anywhere else for house painting after such great service.

We used MHP after reading the reviews on this site. I wasn’t sure where to go to obtain a painter (all my friends said their painters were “slightly dodgy” and no one could recommend one !) We asked MHP to quote, along with three other companies. From the outset of meeting Grant we were extremely impressed with the thorough and timely quote we received. Their quote was mid-range and we decided to go ahead with them. This was the BEST decision we ever made. This company is absolutely BRILLIANT and we have been so impressed with their work. Aaron, Steve and Brendan completed a magnificent job of both the inside and exterior of our californian bungalow in Box Hill to be ready for sale (it should be on-line next week, 434 Station street, Box Hill – have a look to see the workmanship). Our house previously had a caramel coloured interior and a peeling yellow exterior – not ideal !

MHP advised us on colours and helped us with our tight budget and we are so excited for Auction day now with everyone commenting on the magnificent new “pops” of colours the previously tired house had. They replaced rotten weatherboards and competed the whole job (including putting blinds back, re hanging the tv….putting everything exactly back in place) which helped enormously with the tight timing we had. Scott and Grant even helped move our fridge !!

We had Grant quote on our weatherboard house which came in mid range. he was polite, professional and prompt. The painters (Las and Nathan) were fantastic guys, very respectful, exceptional at their craft and nothing was too much trouble. They did an amazing job on the house, every detail was perfect...and I'm very fastidious. Scott would periodically check on progress and was reassuring on timing and project completion. These guys are great to work with and I would recommend them again!!!

Originally I had the interior of my home painted. The whole exercise was done professionally and expertly. Grant gave me a written quote promptly and organised when painting was to commence. They moved or covered all furniture, patched walls where necessary. They arranged for a colour consultant to call and give me advice. I couldn't believe that a major upheaval for me could be done so professionally and quickly. My 3 bedroom home was completed in one week. It was completely hassle free and looked beautiful. When I needed the exterior to be painted, I had no hesitation in calling Melbourne House Painters once again. The service they provide is friendly, professional and Brian and his team are painting experts. Either Grant or Scott came regularly to ensure that I was completely happy. The exterior of our weatherboard house badly needed painting and a few repairs. Grant provided a detailed quote which included repairs to boards and windows. They were able to start a few days earlier than agreed. The team got into prep work and painting and pretty soon the house was transformed.
The team worked professionally even through some average weather. We are very pleased with the results.

Melbourne House Painters painted the top half of our Edwardian weatherboard in Balwyn. We were very pleased with all aspects of their work. All the service providers were punctual, courteous and did a very good job. We were particularly impressed with the degree of preparation, including removal and replacement of all rotten timbers. We needed our house painted at short notice and Melbourne House Painters went to great lengths to meet our time frame. They were easy to deal with, had very high standards and were nice blokes - even when I realised I had mistakenly requested the wrong paint colour after they'd already purchased the paint, they swapped the colour promptly and without repercussions which I greatly appreciated, especially given it was totally my mistake. I have had properties painted before by other painters and I felt there was a much greater sense of accountability for a 'job well done' with this company. I would definitely use them again.

My townhouse required interior painting done prior to placing it on the market to lease. Grant was excellent to deal with, arranged for his guys to come in on short notice and the painting was completed within a couple of days. While I thought that the cost was reasonable, the painters even did a little additional work that hadn't been included within the quote.
I will certainly use them again for my next painting project and highly recommend them to my family and friends.
