Don't use the service if you need help quickly.

Have tried to use this service twice. The first time, there was a three hour wait. The second time, they weren't able to tell me how long it would be. After waiting five hours, I found a 'bricks and mortar' doctor that was open on a Sunday, drove there, saw the doctor, went to a pharmacy and was on my way home when I was called to say a doctor would be there soon.

No drugs are available so, if you need medication, you have to go out anyway. May as well see a bricks and mortar doctor and go to the pharmacy while you're out.

My father was ill on Sunday night and couldn't be moved. We called the Home Visiting Doctor and were very impressed with the service, especially since they bulk billed. The doctor also recommended a chemist we could go to that late so we could pick up some medication for dad. Excellent service. Have now stored the number on my phone in case I need it again. Keep in mind these are after hours doctors. The hours are listed on their website.

Last time my little boy got sick instead of waiting for the dr to come to us we went to the local bulk billing gp and sat there for 3 hours!!! This morning i figured (as he had been vomiting) we should wait comfortably in our home for the gp to visit us. We got priority because of his age and the dr was here within the hour, super friendly! And bulk billed it was fantastic!!!

Too crook to get out of bed, so i figured the Dr should come to me. The dr came after about an hour an a half which i was happy with, when phoning up they cant tell you how long it will be before the dr arrives. I got a script, a medical certificate and slept the flu away. The fact that this service exists, and bulk bills is great, I've used this service to see my grandad at home who doesnt feel comfortable to drive himself to the doctors. Highly recommend!

I had a similar positive experience as the previous reviewer and would definitely recommend the doctor who came to us. I had one child fall ill early in the day ... by day's end all three were very sick with stomach pains, vomiting, couldn't keep anything down - in other words "both ends" were going at the same time. It was impossible to get them stabilized to put in a car and it was early evening.

I decided to call the doctor's service and I must admit, I was a little sceptical, but they were brilliant. He was a caring, and efficient man with a good manner with children. He advised me on keeping them hydrated and how to manage the symptoms, and assured me that it was not a virus, but was food poisoning from something they ate (not my cooking) and would clear up once it had left their system. He arrived within the short window of time I was told.

As stated, he bulk billed on the spot, was able to make the children more comfortable and left me much relieved.

An excellent service I would not hesitate to use again.

My son has been up since early morning with some kind of stomach bug, he stayed home thinking it was just a 24 hour thing. That evening about 7pm he had to retreat again to the bathroom and being new to the area, I thought that I ring around and see if there was a doctor open, without success. It was now 8pm and I could have spent 4 plus hours waiting in emergency at the local hospital, then I remembered a fridge magnet someone gave me and with some reservation I rang the home visiting doctor and guess what it's true! They were very attentive on the phone and understanding and assured me they would get a doctor aout as soon as they could. They rang me back to confirm that the doctor was on his way and he had three people to see in our area the Doctor came to our house assutred us that is was nothing more serious than a stomach bug that was going around Melbourne and a prescription for something to stop the vomiting. He was given a certificate for work and told to rest for a couple of days. All this was bulk billed and the doctor was out of our door by 10.15pm. I was very happy considering it was an awful night to be out on the road and it didn't cost me a cent.
