Freshly-made food, tastes like home-made & not stuff out of a caterer's pack. Made with recipes that didn't come from a published cookbook, and ingredients you can see & taste.
Front-of-house service by the owner & employee came with a smile, with appreciation shown for correct change. Warm throws / blankets available on the chilly day we went. Very handy at the outside table. Kofta meze with pide, smoked trout salad, sourdough, apple crumble (flaked almonds!), FRUIT & NUT cake - couldn't see the cake holding the large chunks of fruit and nuts together.
The desserts were served hot, and the apple crumble was with ice-cream.
It all disappeared too quickly to photograph!
Of course we took some baklava home ...
Few Cafes have been around as long as Mezza bar and there's many reasons why. The locals including myself & family love this place.
The Mezza platter, BBQ chicken, kofta wrap, mediterrian vege omelette and best coffee in town. I think we have tried everything off the menu a couple of times. Prices never seem to go up and much cheaper than other local cafes. Anyone who knows Gus the owner loves him - that's why we go back time and again. This is our go to for taking visitors from Sydney when they visit us in Bowral. Visitors always impressed with the delicious food, understated location & very reasonable menu prices. Lots of gluten free options for sweet & savoury. We find it hard to go past the house made bakalava or delicious apple & almond crumble with delicious coffee for dessert.

Overpriced takeaway. Food was burnt and salad was not washed. Guy running the place was slimy.
Approximate cost: $30
Nice little cafe for a quick lunch in Bowral. I had the salmon omelette and it was tasty and a big serve, the salad wasn't very interesting but it was fresh.
Approximate cost: $15
This is a really lovely little gourmet mediterranean food style cafe. It is a really busy tiny cafe very popular with takeaway as well. Staff are friendly. Open for Breakfast but lunch time is my favourite
