Set up at the back of the pub, the atmosphere of Miss Katie's is great. The sort of place you wouldn't expect such quality to come from, and would only really know from either stumbling across or word of mouth. Whilst they are famous for their boils- with a gleaming Blue Swimmer on top, their other meals are equally tasty. Their fried chicken was juicy with a crispy skin, and went surprisingly well with waffles, maple syrup, and pate (trust me, it. was. delicious)! Will definitely be going back to eat through the menu.

Chicken with waffles. Chicken with waffles. Wow. They're amazing. Everything is amazing. In fact I'm craving everything right now. The price is on point for the superb quality of food being made at the crab shack. The staff are always so friendly and energetic. Everything is fantastic.

I have been to Miss Katie's a couple of times and both times loved it. The menu is quite small and features boiled crabs, crab hamburger and fried chicken with waffles (make sure you get the waffles!). My favourite dish - school prawns which are oh so smokey and yum! The place is opened until 9 and can get busy on the weekend so make sure you come in early.

Approximate cost: $25
