DO NOT USE. Never showed up. Cancelled only after numerous phone calls! Firstly, they move the scheduled start time from 8 am to 11 am to 12 noon the night before. I only found out through a last minute email (no effort to contact me by phone). Secondly, they did not show up by noon. I called numerous times (again and again). They finally SMS and sent and email saying they had cancelled my removalist. We were contractually obliged to be out of the house on the day. They left us completely in the lurch. We are having to take legal action to recoup costs and also emotional damage.

Approximate cost: $1000

Lies, lies and more lies. The weather had calmed down mid morning. You are being deceitful an dishonest hiding behind the weather. It was an overnight concern which calmed down in the morning. You also told me one of your team had Tier 2 COVID exposure the day before when you had to move our appointment from 8am to 11-12 pm. You should not be in business.

Worst experience ive had - seriously use someone else

Turned up 80 minutes late costing me over $130 in wages while the 4 guys I employed stood around doing nothing.

Had to be told to get started

The two removalists texting on their phones when they should of been working, not once but on several occasions.

Did a go slow on the unpacking trying to push it over the 2 hr time, waited until it had gone past to try to claim the extra time over many minutes after they had taken the last item off the truck.

I filled out the document at 2 hrs and then after leaving they changed the time so they could charge me $100 more. Luckily I took a photo before they left.

Threatening me with vcat after I put in a claim for a refund

You did well. They didn't run up at all for me. Only after countless phone calls (and 3 hrs after they were meant to start) did the coward send an email saying they had cancelled my job. They left us completely high and dry with everything packed and new owners moving in that night.

The suitcase with the majority of my clothes was lost during move.

Didn't respond to emails until they became more forceful. Have refused to claim on insurance despite myself having the building manager confirm on security footage that my suitcase was never delivered to my address.

Currently in the process of lodging a claim in VCAT for the loss.

My VCAT action was dismissed with the following coming out or that I learnt, that anyone thinking about hiring Mister Mover should know.

1. They DO NOT have loss and theft insurance and if your things are stolen or lost they will not compensate you. This was confirmed during the VCAT proceedings.

2. They have clauses in their contract which state that they will only compensate you up to $40 per item. Which means if you lose a $5,000 sofa they will compensate you $40 for that loss.

3. They expect you to guard the truck while they move your things. If you don't and something goes missing you liable.

Before hiring these guys check out their Facebook reviews I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience. I only wish I had done this before hiring them.

I have been left $2,500 out of pocket plus the cost of the suitcase itself. Worst moving experience of my life!

Approximate cost: $562
