If you are hungry and in need of some real American food, then this is the place to go. My girlfriend and I went here over the easter/anzac day break and absolutely loved the feel of this place. The food was absolutely fabulous, we really enjoyed their sliders, ribs, wings and of course - their onion rings are fantastic.

We have decided that everytime we are in Melbourne visiting family that we will be going here. It's a pity we don't have a Misty's Diner in Adelaide because we would be their quite a bit.

We found the staff to be extremely friendly/welcoming, helped us decide on what to order and the food arrived promptly.

I definitely recommend Misty's Diner, it a fabulous place!

Misty. A noble and talented inventor up there with Edison. Even better perhaps cause I would take a thick shake over anything he ever did anyday

We've been here 3 or 4 times, and while I realise it's a popular joint, I am an American who moved to Australia 7 years ago and I find the food substandard. It's not horrible, but certainly not amazing. Onion rings were frozen (diced and breaded onions, not real onion slices that are batter dipped) chili is watery (I'm a southerner who's been making and eating chili my entire life, so I know good chili when I have it!) the food isn't the biggest problem for me. I would keep coming back just for the atmosphere and Dr Pepper, except I find the service very uncomfortable. When staff come sit down in your booth and try to chat with you while you are eating, well... I don't really don't go out to eat to socialize with strangers. This practice makes me very uncomfortable, and that's the main reason we only go once every couple of years. If I was rating on a 10 star scale; I'd give 4/5. But hey, that's just me! :)

Hi I would like to comment on your comment, My onion rings are homemade, along with my deep fried pickles, and deep fried mushrooms, I make lots of lots of chili every week and have many Americans coming for it for over 7 years, and they love it, it ever you are not happy with an item, please let me know and I can try and fix it for you The reason we have the staff sit with you, while taking orders,I want you to feel as if you are in a family place, and not have my staff standing over you. I have been doing this practice for over 8 years and have never had a customer complain, but, say something and I will make sure they don't sit with you while taking the order. Have a great day.

Went here with the family and everyone absolutely loved it. We felt like we were in America in the 1950's. As for the food, fabulous! No complaints, so much to choose from. We decided to try their chilli fries and buffalo wings as a shared entree. Their burgers were enormous and absolutely delicious, I could not finish mine. My husband tried the ribs and wow did he enjoy them. Others tried their nachos, hot dogs and interesting flavoured milkshakes, such as oreos and reeces pieces. The desserts looked amazing, but we could not fit anything else in. This is such a great place to go if you are looking for something different and fun. Great atmosphere and very fast friendly service. The only thing is that if you have high cholesterol, heart problems or diabetes you may need some attention after your meal. You have been warned!!!!!!! Definitely returning, Definitely recommend.

Approximate cost: $16+

Used to love this place. However, the service fails dismally. The food is good and reasonable for the price (bordering over pricy). The owner was real personable which added a nice touch. Felt that she has lost touch unfortunately due to commitments.

Approximate cost: $15 - 18

Fantastic trip back to the 1950s American mid west. Humongous sized meals that are worthy of a try. I tried the chilli fries which were absolutely colossal. Huge selection of American sodas. Incredibly friendly staff. I think everyone needs to visit this place once.

Best American diner. Greasy foods, great Chilli Cheese Fries and the thickest thick shakes. Worth the travel. Great service and great overall feel in Misty's Diner.
