Huge range or spices and foods here! And the hot food is amazing! Fresh, Hot, and wide variety. Value for money also here on the hot food. We buy food for days and freeze it. Always busy, so be prepared to wait in line for the hot food. Thats how good it is!

Great store and can always get what I need here and the food tastes great. The service here could improve but it's not that bad. Great store and everyone who likes Indian food or need Indian groceries should come here.

Always get the Indian groceries from here. Opening hours are really helpful to my lifestyle. They have all the latest Indian movies and also provide catering services for parties and things. Great location, affordable prices, well kept.

Approximate cost: $30

A Big well spaced Indian/Sri Lank an grocery store they is good variety of Indian snacks, groceries, Pickles, ready to eat curries and Hindi and Tamil DVDs. They even sell magazines from India such as Indian Cosmopolitan. The take- way food is really especially the Vada's and they give you free coconut chutney if you ask. It's not bad value for money and the service isn't that bad either.

Customer service is absolutely the worst i've experienced in years. Stood waiting for over half an hour b4 i was attended to. Staff are very lazy and just stood around talking to one another. Even when I called out to them they said just one minute. That one minute turned into 30 minutes. The food at the food counter was good and the servings were nice too. Thats about it.

We have almost 400 Indian/Srilankan/Pakistani shops in Melbourne. Go to any shop i can guarantee that you will find 30 to 40 % of items you wanted to buy would be either out of stock or not a regular shelf item. Then you will have to go to the next shop. There we will find another 20% then one or two more shops to complete the shopping of Indian/ Srilankan/ Pakistani groceries and other items.

You go to MKS I am sure we will find almost very thing we need in one go.If you do not find the exact quantity or brand I am sure we will find similar brand or a different quantity.

Most appreciable aspect of the store is that there is constant replenishing of items on the shelf. Dear MKS you guys are doing a good job as far as Indian /srilankan/Pakistani products are concerned.

Most amazing aspect of the MKS strategy that i find was that once MKS started their own imports of various products of large quantity consumables the other retailers also brought down their prices to match of compete MKS prices. It is true in many cases. So MKS prices are working as a benchmark price for the whole of Melbourne.

Thank you MKS for your efforts to bring out a reasonableness to the prices of Indian/ Srilankan/Pakistani products to the broader community.

I do not know whether some one has ever compared the prices of some products that are available at the local supermarkets in Melbourne? But I have. To be honest the prices at MKS is at least 30% less that of the super market prices ( Ex:Basmati rice of same brands sold on both shops )

Dear MKS thank you for popularizing and standardizing Indian/ Srilankan/ Pakistani products and prices not only to the Asian population but to the Australians as well.

I hope MKS will endeavor to keep this services up and the reasonableness on the prices and improve it in the future.

Thank you once again.

This is the one stop shop, if you are looking for quality, variety and value for money when it comes to India spices and groceries. They have almost every kind of lentils, pulses, spices, ready to eat Indian dishes and flours. The variety is really good. They even have Indian veggies like green chillies, curry leaves, okra, lady's finger and like. They are the cheapest I have found in the last 3 years in Melbourne. They have a huge DVD collection in Hindi, Tamil and other Indian Languages. You must try the spicy chicken drumstick from the cafe, its awesome.
