Connor and Lawrence did an amazing job - managing to move my stuff in even less time than estimated. They were friendly and careful with my belongings, and I would unquestionably call on them again for my next move. Thank you both!

DO NOT USE MLC Removal!!!!!! Movers arrived late. A few hidden costs added to my final bill that was not mentioned to me by head office or the driver. Not reliable or efficient movers.

I regret hiring this company for my move last week. Made my booking 2 weeks in advance. They called me the night before the move saying that they had to reschedule my move from 7am to 10am. I said that it was fine as long as it's not later then that. They said no they will be there at 10am and that movers would call me when they are on their way.
On the day of the move I had not heard from the movers by 10am so called the head office just for an eta. Was told the driver was picking up a truck and should have been at my location at 10 but they would call the movers for an update and call me back. At 11 am still no call so I called the head office back a few time. Finally someone picked up. They said the movers were already on their way to me. I asked if the movers could call me because I want to know roughly what time they would be there so I could make my way to my storage unit to meet them. The movers called me and said they just left wherever they were and still 45mins away. They finally arrived at 12. They started puffing and looked tired 10mins into the move. They complained and said they would have to charge me an extra hours work for heavy lifting. I had not been explained this over the phone when I rang to get a quote and when I made the booking. Hidden cost! The items I was asking them to move was normal household furniture and white goods not industrial sized machine. They continued to complain throughout the whole move. They told me they were use to moving for builders for display houses which used light furniture.
When they came back to my storage unit for the second trip, I waited for them at the front so I could let them in. I noticed they drove past it. I thought maybe they forgot which street to turn into and would do a u turn and come back. 15mins later they arrived back at my storage unit with hot food and coffee/drinks. They obviosuly went and got some lunch. I wouldn't had minded if they had mentioned it to me or apologised for making me wait but they didn't. They didn't even deduct that time from their total hours worked.
2 truck loads later it reached 6pm so they couldn't work anymore as they were tired and it was dark. I had more more items which I had to move myself and transport on multiple trips the next day in my own car. I also had some furniture I wanted assembled but they ran out of time for that too so I had to assemble those myself too.
I also had to pay extra for the use of their blankets during the move. I was not advised by head office when I rang for a quote and to make the booking or the movers until right at the end when it was time to pay them. Another hidden cost!!!
Found out that they didn't have to pick up a truck. That was just head offices excuse. The movers did another job at 7am which head office squeezed in and pushed our job back. This was also why the movers were tired by the time they arrived to start our move at 12.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND MLB removers!!!

I booked a 1 bedroom move 2 weeks in advance for early morning Friday, they rescheduled on the day to 1pm and then canceled on me at 2pm. Then rescheduled for Monday afternoon which they also canceled at the time they were meant to arrive - they did not call to tell me they couldn't make it, I had to call them to see where they were. Finally they 'guaranteed to be at mine at 6.30am the following day which they arrived 30mins late. The move damaged much of my wooden furniture and was very slow resulting in an expensive move.

We booked MLB removals for a short 10km move to a new property. We booked because they seem to have robust guarantees in place for damage to anything being moved. When booking, they were responsive, and easy to deal with.
On the day of the move, things were far less easy. They were about 4 hours late (frustrating when you have elevators booked in building etc). They did not communicate this at all, I have to chase them up.
The 2 guys arrived, and were friendly, but clearly not experienced in moving. One was a backpacker who just had the job to make money.
We had paid for the "Premium Protection Package" which offered shrink wrapping and additional blankets for items being moved. This service was not provided. Numerous time we had to ask items to be handled more carefully, not be pulled, pushed and dragged along various surfaces (Concrete, carpet and concrete stairs).
Due to the mishandling, our expensive sofa has been damaged. I had a great deal of trouble contacting MLB to try and resolve the issue (couldn't get through on the phone, no response to emails, no response to messages on social media). Only after I wrote a message on a public forum did they respond, ask me to remove it, and say someone would be in touch.
Someone did finally get back to me (which took about 3 weeks). They offered $50 to resolve the issue, which of course was not at all reasonable. They said that would cover the cost of the "premium protection package". I responded to let them know that was not adequate (each time an email is sent to them it takes around 3 days for them to respond, so this has been a VERY long process). After attempting to say I did not read the terms and conditions (which I have, and have met each one of them), they have come back to say that $100 is their final offer.
I am now going to the ACCC, and WOULD NEVER recommend they be used for moving anything. Avoid at all costs. Terrible.

Approximate cost: $450

Booking was prompt and very friendly one day prior with Laura. Brian and Jack were fantastic, excellent communication and took great care in getting my fridge out and relocated. Highly recommend MLB. Thank you to you all !

Adam and Owen were great! They packed up everything quickly and efficiently, wrapped our items in protective blankets and were very friendly. They got all our furniture up narrow stairs and through small doors, quickly and without a scratch or mark on the new house. I will be using this company again.
