I went here with my 18mo and my friend with her 4 yo. The centre was basically empty so the kids had blast and it was easy for us to keep an eye on them whilst having our lunch. The cafe had a good range and the wedges were very tasty. Reasonably priced when you take into account that you get a free hot beverage with entry.

The last time we went to Monkey Mania at DFO was not pleasant. I found it too overcrowded and too many children in the toddler area that children were getting hurt and started bleeding. When I told the staff member there was blood in the toddler area she took no time at all to clean it up. I really think they should have a least one staff member at each play area to keep an eye on numbers and safety. The tables were missy and there was no staff member cleaning up. Most of the time they were behind the counter.

Really pleased with my time here over the school holidays. Yes it was busy- but the staff seemed to deal with it very well, and the children had a ball (the main thing!).

Food is quite good.

It's worth becoming a member for the $12 outlay, so I would recommend that, even if you only plan to come every so often.

We'll be back!

Comparing to Lollipops Majura Park. I much prefer Monkey Mania. At least they are lots more for kids to play with. Yes they can be pricey and yes the adults have to pay too which I find ridiculous as you have to supervise your kids. Anyway you do get a soft drink or coffee with adult entry coupon.

The place is getting a little run down. But still accpetable. You can host parties there with various themes.

The food is expensive but you do get a 10% discount if you are a member. Around $10 to join for a year and you also get discount entry rates for kids and the 5th entry is free.

Tuesdays specials for member $5 per toddler instead of $11.

We don't go there often as it's still pricey for members. Even as a member, a family of 4, 2 adults and 1 kid over 3, 1 kid under 2, you still have to pay $27 after discount.

Service is non existent. There is a policy that kids and adults must wear socks and no shoes in play area. They don't enforce it.

Paying $27 to give the family a treat... Monkey Mania was indeed maniacal and really underwhelming. Some of the equipment was unserviceable/worn beyond repair/broken, the food was overpriced and average and the service was shocking. Rather than actually serve someone, the staff member allowed us to wait for over five minutes on two occasions while a couple of coffees were made - it was so ridiculous that we eventually gave up. Will not return to this play centre and don't recommend that you even give this a go.

A large indoor playcentre inside the DFO building at Fyshwick. It has a separate toddler area with small ball-pit, jumping castle, slides, and rockers. This is a great space for younger kids, suitable up to about 3 or 4 years. Once they get to that age, they will probably prefer the bigger kids area, which has 3 big wavy slides, 2 straight slides, and numerous climbing platforms, swinging balls, a small basketball/soccer court, and an area with ball shooters. All of this can provide hours of entertainment.

It's a little overpriced, and adults have to pay, though each adult entry receives a drink voucher. No external food is allowed in, and the food there is a bit pricey. However there is a good variety of food available and it seems nice enough, at least I've had no complaints from my kids.

It can be pretty busy, during the holidays especially, and it gets noisy and hot inside with all the kids running around and yelling. Every time I've been there it has quietened down considerable in the early afternoon, making it much more pleasant to sit and watch the kids (or join in the fun).

Don't forget your socks, as they won't let your kids play without them on. Adults are included in the socks on policy too.

Friendly and helpful staff in a clean and safe environment for the kids. It's a fun day out, and the kids should sleep well that night :)

A nice play centre located in the DFO complex at Fyshwick. My 4 year old daughter loves the slide and the small trampoline. It's a great place for the kids to wear themselves out, especially when it's freezing cold outside and they're bored at home.

They have a separate area for the toddlers, so they don't get run over by the bigger kids. Having said that, I tend to avoid the place on school holidays, as a lot of quite big kids come and run amok.

My dislikes: the price is a bit high, and the coffee isn't very good.

Both of my daughters had their birthday parties here. The staff were wonderful, always made sure they had plenty to do. The food was great, lots to eat. The playcentre is very interactive for all ages.

Approximate cost: $179
