I haven't actually been hear myself but i was given a assortment of chocolates for my birthday. Chocolate is one of my all time favorite indulgances and this certainly didn't miss a beat. The dark chocolate was rich and smooth clearly made with a top quality chocolate. The decorating skills are simple yet beautiful. soft centres, hard centres, everything you could imagine. i recommend buying these as a special gift for someone who has a appreciation for quality chocolate. Will be using them infuture to give as a gift. Fantastic

Oh my! Thinking of my most favourites coffee shops in Brisbane, I would nearly forgot this one! What a sin!

Monty's Chocolates is a gorgeous little shop with indulgence of any kind that I felt in love with after my first visit. I purchased a voucher for tasting plate that I shared with my company. It was absolutely great experience for me...and if my company had been chocolate obsessed, I know he would have enjoyed it even more than myself.

When staff was handing in tasting plate to us, we were informed what chocolates contained and their origin. So it could be also very educational experience after all :)

I have never had better drinking chocolate than right here. It is made from proper rich dark chocolate. You would notice as times goes by and the drinks cools down, it becomes thicker... This does not happen with usual drinking chocolate...what is more it is so rich that it satisfies your chocolate cravings for good. I believe it is also quite healthy alternative of desert for the high percentage of cacao. Even a laic would recognise the difference.

They have a huge selection of tastes, flavours and shapes of chocolates. It is a heaven for chocolate lovers.

I highly recommend going there...It is a worth of spending money with your partner or family member. I do not think children would appreciate the art of chocolate flavours as such though.

Wow what a gorgeous chocolate shop! A lovely place to go and enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate and a tasting plate of amazing chocolate. I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful gift box of chocolates from Monty's for Christmas. Exquisite chocolates in a beautifully presented gift box.

I shared a chocolate tasting plate with my daughter and I absolutely loved it. We were given chocolate squares and advised to slowly eat each piece starting with the darkest and savour the experience. It was definitely a lesson in appreciation of quality rather than quantity. The tasting plate also included salted caramel balls and orange confit chocolates. I found both so delicious that I had to purchase some of each to take home with me. I would recommend Monty's to anyone looking for chocolates of exceptional quality.

The chocolate here is not cheap but certainly taste great. The shop/cafe also has a great atmosphere and has cute decor. Of the chocolate I've tried I'd recommend Manga Lassi - sweet white chocolate with manga center - delicious :)

I had a chocolate tasting plate here and it was AMAZING! The staff were very knowledgable and were able to tell us a lot about the different types of chocolate and where the cacao beans originated from. It is in a very niche market and while the goods might be more expensive than you would typically see in the supermarket, there is a huge quality gap, with quantities of chocolate satisfying your craving rather than feeling the need to gorge as you so often do with normal chocolate. They also stock a lot of alternative chocolates with an orange confit jelly covered with dark chocolate and a sugar shell. It tasted similar to a jaffa however with real orange flavours and much more intense. I absolutely loved my experience here and would go back in a heartbeat. The atmosphere is also really lovely with distressed wooden tables and chocolate on display all around.

When you consider that our world is full of sweet confectionery, Monty's Chocolates is a stand out, where the products are the highest quality you can get anywhere, imported in temperature controlled containers (just check to see if DJ's does this!) and provided to you with the ultimate in passion and expertise.

Go to Monty's if you want to spoil yourself, but if you are just craving sweet confectionery like dairy milk, then only go if you are open minded about changing your sweet ways into quality ways!

Top quality product, although not all to my taste. The guy who runs is certainly passionate about chocolate. The hot chocolate was nice.

Shop that sells fine, handmade chocolates from around the world. Pricey as you would expect for the chocolate, however felt that $9 for a pot of tea was a little excessive. Service was flawless and friendly. Not for the budget conscious.
