A small Japanese eatery in Port Melbourne that my family regularly eats at. The food is fantastic, so fresh, the flavors are amazing and the service is great too. It's not that cheap but it's well worth it and we keep going back for more!

I've never heard of this place before but one night I was walking around port melbourne and saw the sign. I thought the name of the shop is pretty cute and then saw it was packed with customers. I made a mental note to go in and have dinner the next time I am in Port Melbourne.
So one week later I went in and had one of the best japanese in Melbourne. The sashimi and sushi were so fresh and delicious. And the tempura prawn - yummy. The batter was so light and crispy, the prawns nice and tender. The waiting staffs were very friendly and attentive.

After reading the positive reviews from WOMOW, I decided to bring my wife to Moshi moshi for a valentine's dinner.
moshi moshi is set up as a relaxing jap cafe with romantic and comfortable settings. The waiters were very helpful and polite. My wife doesn't eat raw food so they transformed the raw fish on the seafood platter to a smoked one without extra charge! The seafood sushi and sashimi platter is really the best that I have ever had. Service and food were both great, will definitely go again!

When I feel like Japanese I always think Moshi moshi. The food is always fresh and as authentic as you can get. I love the soba salad with tuna and have this almost everytime. The chef is fantastic and the vibe is good.

Approximate cost: $25

Favourite local Japanese. The chef is a one man wonder, whipping up various interesting and original dishes plus the more traditional ones for those who are a little less adventurous.

Approximate cost: $25

Cosy Japanese sushi bar with a chef working in the middle for all to see. The food is authentically Japanese and you can choose from specials, set meals or a la carte. Lunch prices are reasonable and there is a good selection of sake.

Approximate cost: $25
