When we looked into which removals company we should use, Neil from Moving Sucks was the only one who actually came around to our home to take a look at what needed moving. Our opinion then was that he was more professional in that regard than the others.
On the day, Neil, along with 3 other guys, arrived at 10:00. Neil had said, at the outset, that it should only take 2-3 hours to load and a couple of hours to unload. About 3 hours into the job and 2 of the guys had to leave for another job. At this point, they were only loading the large truck as that is what Neil had estimated was all we would require. Another hour or so passed and Neil decided that he would require another truck as there was too much for the one large truck. Neil called on the other 2 guys (who had left earlier with the smaller truck) to return after they had finished the job they were on, which they did. By 5:30p.m or thereabouts, the house was empty and the trucks were loading the last bits on. Neil had left with the big truck by then for the 15 minute drive to our new home but, sad to say, the big truck broke down just 5 minutes down the road. The small truck left shortly after but didn't arrive at our new home until 45-60 minutes later. No explanation as to where they had been but...
These 2 guys with the smaller truck unloaded all of our garden belongings and the washing machine but, that's all they had on board. All of the furniture (beds, sofas, fridge etc) were on the broken down truck. When the small truck was ready to leave, at 8:00p.m. they told us that Neil was "limping the big truck back to the depot (in Mandurah)" so he could fix it and would bring our furniture to us the next day. Not really helpful to us as we had no beds, sofas etc., to sleep on for that night. Thankfully, we had all of our bedding with us.
Neil arrived with the large truck the following morning (mid-morning) and it then took a further 5 hours to unload.
A gross under-estimation on Neils part as to the volume of belongings we had, the number of trucks required and the time it was to take. Instead of the original estimation of 5-6 hours, our move actually took 15 hours.
All of the men were very pleasant, helpful and polite. It was just the truck breaking down and the under-estimations that did not please us.

Approximate cost: $1600

Don't use, very expensive. Only moved half a 3 bedroom house and cost $750. Did half the job, only moved houses less than 10 mins apart.
Have moving slowly to get maximum dollar down to an art.

My experience with Moving Sucks was great! All my furniture was delivered without a single scratch, and on time. They even moved a piano for me which was most impressive. I would definitely recommend their services to others.

I had a fairly good experience with Moving Sucks. They took great care with all my furniture and all was delivered in one piece. They were great at keeping in touch with me to organise a date to start work, were on time and delivered everything by the promised date too. My overall experience with Moving Sucks was really good and I would definitely endorse their service.
