Could not disagree with the previous ratings more. Took my 9 month old pup on a few occasions and wasn't impressed with the lack of supervision, bedding or water for the dogs. Our last visit cleared up any doubt when I picked up my girl and she was in a seperate area with the "big dogs" upstairs with no supervision what so ever and when she was brought down to me she was covered in cuts and bleeding heavily. When I asked for an explanation the teenager on the desk had no answer for me. I will never be back.

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to review my business, I would be more than happy to speak with you directly if you would prefer, if so please call or email me at your earliest convenience.
In regards to your comments I would like the opportunity to respond.
We actually exceed the minimum requirements for staffing and supervision. Our dogs are never over crowded, if fact we only take half the amount of dogs the we are licensed to hold.
The dogs are provided with clean fresh drinking water every 5 - 10 minute or more frequently as required, as they are always thirsty for playing and running around. Bedding is also provided of course however it will often turn into a fun game of tug of war for the dogs throughout the day so we are constantly picking up fluff and foam and replacing them.
As for being covered with cuts and bleeding heavily I would have to disagree. Dogs are dogs and they play like dogs, occasionally there will be minor cuts or scratches (as mentioned in the terms and conditions). I have never, in almost 7 years had a dog with the injuries you describe. If a dog was hurt, injured or bleeding heavily from a scratch they would be seen immediately by the vet that is located just 3 doors down.
Lastly I'm not sure of the relevance of the "big dogs" comment? What's wrong with big dogs?
Again please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss further, 93693647,[email protected]
Kind regards, Marianne.

My two dogs (both Rottweilers), have been attending for years.... they love it!!!! Absolutely brilliant!! Mia loves going to Mutts and loves to play with all her doggy pals. She adores Marianne and jumps out of the car and heads straight in. She comes home exhausted and we get peace and quiet for the rest of the day!! Wonderful!! Never had a dog before and nothing is too much trouble for Marianne and she is so helpful giving us advice on all sorts of issues. Mutts is the best find ever!

When I say “Daycare!” ... Miss Ruby runs to the door and is ready to go !

If only Miss Ruby could really talk ....

I wish Mummy would drive faster down Palmers Road, but I can't help it [woof woof] !!! I'm excited cos I'm off to Mutts for my big day out. I get to play with all my friends and run and run and run around all day long. Sometimes I'll have a sleep... but hey .... who needs sleep when there is so much sniffing and hanging out to do. Sometimes I have a bath and a clip [woof woof woof] – I'm not too keen on these cos I'm missing out on important playtime. Marianne gives me lots of treats [woof – sweeities!] she spoils me all day long. When I come home all I want to do is sleep. [BIG SIGH & YAWN] such a dog's life .... I love my days out at Mutts !!!!!!

Mutts in Point Cook caters for all your pooches needs. It is a doggy day care, boarding and grooming facility that is reasonably priced compared to other places around. The owner Marianne is someone who I cannot speak highly enough of. She looks after my dogs like they are her own and to me no price can be put on that !

I found Marianne when I was looking for some help with my escapee jack russell. She has provided a safe, and relaxing environment for him on the scary nights... New years eve, Chinese new year, and even just when we have been on holidays. He is always more than happy to see "aunty Marianne", and hang out at mutts. Marianne has also provided nutritional advise which has seen our other jack Russell maintain a healthy weight, and he is now a much happier, healthier pooch. We would recommend mutts to anyone who loves their puppies.

Marianne really loves dogs and it shows. A bit more expensive than some other places but it's worth it for the joy you see on the dogs and mariannes face as they play together. Safe environment, always happy to leave my dog here

I got my 2 dogs from Lort Smith in January 2010 they were so badly treated, Malnourished and terrified of everything and then after 3 months a Friend of mine recommended Mutts. The female was so terrified of people she used to bite. I even took them back to Lort Smith to get some help and they were surprised how scared they were and said I could surrender them, but I didn't. I knew they needed help. The first trip to Mutts was terrifying for them. Marianne wanted me to leave one and come back with the other and swap them over but when she saw how scared they were she took them both together. They were not happy the first time and each time I took them they would run the other way. But now they are so excited to go they pull me thru the door. They absolutely love Aunty Marianne and she loves them. When they go in she puts them in the middle cage so they are with all the small dogs but now they run straight thru the bars and in with the big dogs and I mean big. They are just learning to play with other dogs but they are socializing so well. They are not scared of any of them even the Great Dane. They are still scared of a sudden movement from people but nowhere near what they were. I have recommended Mutts to other people because I see the great work Marianne does with the dogs. If I could afford to take them everyday I would, they love it so much. When I tell them we are going to Doggie Day Care they get excited. In the 10 months I have had them Marianne seems to be their favourite person and they even ignore me when I take them there now. Before they wouldn't leave my side. I trust Marianne with my dogs and I wouldn't trust them with anyone else. I see the big difference in their behaviour, they love going for walks now, they love being in the car, I think they love everything now. I could not have helped them without Marianne's help. I thank her from the bottom of my heart because these two guys really needed some love and affection and now they get heaps. I can't thank her enough for what she has done. Thanks Marianne, Dolly and Buster would not be here today if you didn't care for them so much and they love you.

I originally took my dog to Mutts Daycare to socialise him with other dogs. I was not intending for it to become a regular occurrence, however, he loved it so much, it seems almost cruel to stop taking him.

Every visit, he goes for a walk and then plays with all of the other mutts. He is a very high energy dog, but always comes home exhausted (often falling asleep in the car).

Maryanne (the owner - manager) genuinely loves all the dogs that come into her care, and she has always been open and non judgemental to any behavioral concerns I have had. She has provided me personally with constructive training tips and nutritional information (often for budget minded clients), which I personally have found invaluable.

The centre itself is quite large, indoors and is always cool - even in the hottest of weather. It can be sectioned off into smaller play areas and private pens, or be left open so the dogs have a free run space (which it often is). The dogs are sorted into smaller groups, mostly of similar size, nature and energy levels, where they are allowed (encouraged) to play.

Her facilities include grooming also, which the price ranges for each sized dog.

I would (and have) recommend her to anyone who has a dog. Her rates are more than reasonable, and its an all round brilliant service. I have never used a dog caring service before, so have nothing to compare it to, however, I have no hesitations when endorsing Mutts.

Approximate cost: $25
