My first experience with Nik & Janes was two years ago. They delivered a different mattress than the one I purchased, but justified it by saying it was a better mattress. I paid $500 deposit when I placed the order. On delivery I rang Nik to finalise payment to find he had already taken the final payment from my Visa Account. On checking my Visa Account I found he hadn't deducted the deposit of $500 which I had already paid. I rang Nik and told him of their mistake and then had to go back to the store with my card to do the credit transaction. I didn't know he had my Visa details to do the final payment. Is that legal? I certainly hadn't authorised him to do so.
Giving them the benefit of doubt I have just purchased another mattress from them. All went well. Chose bed, paid in full and prepared to wait a couple of weeks for bed frame to come in. All good. Then the next day I get a phone call claiming a mistake had been made and the bed was actually $100 dearer than charged. Sounded really genuine so I met them half way and paid an extra $50.
Two days later they deliver bed and mattress. All good til we took plastic off mattress. They sent us the shop stock mattress which had a huge yellow stain like someone had wet the bed. Black shoe polish rubbed off on mattress. Dirt in the quilted seams, dead insects and looking really shabby. I commented when I saw this mattress in their showroom that it looked so awful it initially turned me off buying that style. But it was very comfortable. Couldn't believe when they delivered it.
We took the mattress back, after taking lots of photos for proof of stains, and demanded a refund. They did the refund and I will never set foot in that store again. Be warned, they definitely have some strange and set ways to rip you off.

Poor customer service, horrific communication, and completely nonchalant staff. Couldn't care less about the customer's experience.

Products arrived faulty, some not at all, and one was out of stock for over two weeks with no advice given when purchasing or coordinating delivery.

Do yourself a favour and go somewhere reputable.
