I have taken my dogs here for years. I always get them vaccinated with the North Shore Veterinary Hospital.

I recently took my dog to this practice because of coughing and was advised to leave him for observation. Unfortunately, I did so. Later in the day I was told that his respiratory rate was elevated and he should stay the night. At 2:30 am I received a message because his blood pressure was dangerously low and his respiratory rate "had gone through the roof" and he was put on a drip. It turned out that dosing him with diuretic injections every few hours caused the drop in blood pressure and the increased respiratory rate. The cardiologist who saw him in the morning ran some tests and put him back on the road to recovery. Apart from the incorrect treatment the first night, reception staff excel at blocking any requests to speak to professional staff to get further information. The aim seems to be to set up further fee based appointments. While I respect and trust the specialist who treated my dog, I am utterly disappointed in the overall attitudes and lack of empathy.

I rushed my cat, Sebastian up to North Shore vet for emergency care one night. The staff were excellent and worked very fast to get Sebastian stable and calm me down! The next day when we made the tricky decision to put him to sleep, one of the general vets, Dr Peter Chitty was so compassionate and kind to us which made the experience more bearable. We are really grateful to them and would recommend the clinic to anyone.

I recently got a new puppy and visited North Shore Vet for it's vaccinations. The vet, Prue was really lovely and very patiently answered all my questions and my new puppy seemed to love her, which is the most important thing. I will not hesitate to go back to her and would recommend the clinic to others.

These guys are up there with the best. They really care about the animals, answer all your questions. At different times, one of our cats and dog have needed emergency care and stressful as that was, knowing that they were getting the best possible treatment made all the difference. Full and fast recovery on both times, thankfully.

We have exotic pets and the specialist David Vella knew exactly how to deal with them. His professionalism made us very confident that our pets were in good hands. As usual, Vet costs are extreme - however wouldn't think that would vary too much between vets.

I have two dogs. One has been with one of the vets here for 10 years. She has had the best of care. The other dog (small) had a very complicated broken arm. The Dr that looked after him put a tiny metal plate into his arm with 7 tiny screws. So amazing the Dr's abilities. Always great care is taken of the dogs and the very upset owner.

I was advised upon making appointments that staff would not usually see birds, but as it was just routine nail and wing trimming they agreed, saving us travelling a long way to a specialist bird vet. It cost a lot more than would have expected, but they wree friendly and did a decent job without stresing out my pet (which is very easy to do)

I went to this vet with a stray who had decided to come and live with me, the vets were very helpful about my options. Whilst there I could see that they had a wide range of other pets coming through their doors.
