I have been going to Maggie since February 2006 when I walked in off the street on my birthday and said I want a change and she gave me a totally new look which boosted the confidence no end. Maggie always goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy and look good. Her prices are well with budget making it affordable to get my hair done regularly. For my sons wedding she spent ages on my hair to make sure it was just right, she also did my mothers and all she charged was $30 each. That is incredible value for money.

The Salon is always beautifully presented with hair products and colour charts available. If I'm trying a mew style I get advice from Maggie for style options and colours. Nu-Cut Salon is just wonderful. They seem always to be able to fit me in a short notice. Maggie is friendly and helpful with new hairstyles. I have been A CUSTOMER OF Maggie's FOR SOME YEARS NOW, BOTH WHEN SHE WORKED AT (Robert) PARSLEYS AT MANUKA IN THE 70/80s and recently. I keep going back because I like an elegant up to date style that is well cut. Can't beat Maggie's skill and experience. Unlike many younger hairdressers she cuts the style that suits you, not just the latest trend. I went to NEXT once and walked out with the same cut as the 19 year old who had been the preveious customer. My style changes subtley each time I visit Maggie, but only subtley, and that keeps it up to date, although if you insisted on pink hair and shag all over the place I am sure that she could accomodate (despite her own good taste).

This salon offers excellent value for money. Very reasonably priced haircuts (about $45 for ladies' cuts), personalised service and they actually take into account what you want! The owner (Maggie) is a hoot, who leaves a (mostly positive) lasting impression. Located within walking distance both from ANU and Civic, it's a wonder this salon isn't booked up for weeks in advance.
