The selection and quality of their supplies are good but the prices are way higher than other place where I shop for the same stuff.

local place to get coffee, Mediterranean groceries and tasty lunch options. Staff wait long for you to order, with no complaint. Never enough seats though, always very busy.

Great food, an authentic taste of the middle east in suburban Melbourne. Salads and shwarma. Middle eastern pastries and pizzas. Then after your meal go to the grocery/deli side for cheeses, cured meats, sweets, spice mixes. Bread. Filled doughnuts, Turkish delight, dried fruit.

Amazing restaurant, one of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast. My partner and I go there at least once a week for Kebabs as well. Wonderful coffee and their chocolate peanut butter squares... I'm so addicted :D

They also have a kind of boutique supermarket that stocks all kinds of dairy, breads, nuts, coffee, organic cereals and paleo breakfast products etc, imported chocolate and ice-cream... trust me just go it's an awesome place!

This is the place! Outstanding food & regularly changing menu. Casual cafeteria style dining with a great atmosphere. The grocery store is worth a trip on it's own but a must go to after your meal!

people had recommended Oasis before I finally made it there and I was still very impressed once I finally got there. The huge range of beautiful and interesting products on offer here is what first struck me. Both Middle Eastern and general continental/specialty ingredients surround you

Love this place. They have a huge selection of pastries and other dishes (try the chicken and chickpea), and the house-made Turkish Delight is superb. Make sure to take home a box or two. I like the cube ones more than the sliced, but it is nice to sample the new flavours they release every now and then. They have festivals occasionally too which are fun!

This place is both a Middle Eastern grocer with so much choice your head blows off. And also a wonderful cafe for both sweet and savoury food inspired by the beautiful ingredients and flavours of that region.

I absalutely love the oasis bakery, their shwarmas and plates are delicious, they also change up certain foods so there's always something new to try.
The baklavas are some of the best I've tasted, and service is fast with many tables to pick from, quite busy on a regular basis as they are wonderful, but I've always had a seat.

Oasis has a great range of Middle Eastern produce and an impressive assortment of snacks so I was looking forward to a good breakfast here. Unfortunately the staff were fairly inattentive and a bit rude, as though the fact it is diner style and you order at the counter meant they didn't have to do anything. Our food was average, but enjoyable. I'd go back to try out their Lebanese lunches, as I still have high expectations from other reviewers.

LOVE Oasis Bakery! I always pop by here when I'm going past to pick up a coconut water and a soy latte. They stock my favourite brand of coconut water and they make the best coffee. Handy parking too.

I remeber when oasis was a little hole in the wall with a kitchen as small as my bedroom - this takes over 3 shop fronts now and is forver growing. The food is delish and the groceries are great. I love the shawama with the pickled cabbage and tahini - its amazing. All the food is home made and full of flavour - the pizza style breads are great to keep at hom ein the freezer for guests too. The only thing is that they are so busy that sometimes the service is not great but you can understand why.

I enjoy coming here, the food options are great and the prices are great as well! The portions are generous, so when I come with my husband, we can get a variety of food to share. YUM! The supermarket area has a lot of fun ingredients you don't see anywhere else. We love to get the spices for home cooking, unique flavours.

I go here quite often, bring my friends and family. I love that I can have a bite to eat and have an opportunity to buy a lot of the ingredients in the supermarket. The staff are always great and the baklava is delicious too bad I'm on a health kick but that said they now offer raw desserts and the supermarket has a tonne of health foods, very happy!

Every time I have a shwarma somewhere else I realise how good Oasis is. I either have one of their wraps for only $8 or the Shwarma plate with salad for $14. I love the Tahini sauce, the hummus and the lovely crunchy fresh salad and pickled cabbage. The combination of flavours is just the best. I love coming here often. It's also a great place to take visitors to see the amazing supermarket section. They are blown away by the selection.

Oasis bakery started off as a middle eastern supermarket and they have grown into selling almost anything you could need in the shop, with an added cafe and cooking school. I've only eaten breakfast at the cafe but it is great. I got the minced lamb, which is cooked in a clay pot with eggs and is served with Turkish bread-really good!
From the supermarket section you have to get one of the big loaves of Turkish bread, some dips (fantastic beetroot one), some mini frozen Turkish pizzas and a selection of their spices. Oasis also do really good Turkish donuts that are so bad for you but oh my! Fried and then soaked in a honey syrup they are heaven! They now offer parking behind the shop but it can still get pretty busy.

I have been visiting Oasis for about 10 years and have to say it has been so gratifying to see the business flourish from a modest warehouse like business into an amazing, well laid out and enormous casual eatery, grocery store and cooking school.
I snigger with some disbelief when I pass the miserly herb and spice section of the big supermarkets. Oasis has every spice and herb you could ever need, frequently restocked, generous tub sizes and exceptionally well priced. I usually shop there for grains, cereals and seeds like quinoa, cous cous, amaranth, chickpeas, nuts, spices, middle eastern groceries like amazing fresh falafels (Bite Me brand), pastries, dips and fab cheeses. I usually leave with way way more than I had intended because it all just looks and tastes so good... gourmet ice creams, flat breads, Persian fairy floss (you haven't lived until you've eaten it!), pantry staples, imported groceries, cook books, cooking utensils...
It's hard to get past the hot prepared meals which never disappoint and don't even get me started on the excellent coffee and shawarma (chicken or lamb)... it's the take away you have when you don't want to feel regret afterwards! Love this place!

This place is my new Prahran Market. I used to go to the Essential Ingredient for all of my speciality cooking ingredients but Oasis have a much larger range at a much more reasonable price. Also love the home made food in the cafe. Definitely check this place out if you're a foodie

An Aladin's cave of Middle Eastern treats! I love this place and am telling everyone I know about it. it has an amazing range of products from the Middle East and other parts of Europe. There is a cafe/bakery where you can sample some their delights without waiting to go home. Very decadent and dangerous for both the waistline and wallet - not because it's expensive but because the products are irresistible! Love it - worth the drive from Eastern suburbs!!

Oasis Bakery combines casual dining/takeaway with a mainly Middle Eastern sourced supermarket. The cafe menu, which includes breakfasts, is generally Lebanese and includes seasonal dishes (from $10 - $18) along with snack style items such as kebbeh and haloumi pies (around $5) that are also stocked frozen in the supermarket. You order and pay off a fast food style wall menu then collect your items and eat them at one of nearby tables. The atmosphere is busy but you can generally find a table even at weekends as turnaround is quick. Biggest bargain meal is the felafel wrap ($6) which can be upgraded to include a soft drink and a bucket of really delicious chips for an extra $3.50. "Sharkwama" wraps, with a ridiculous amount of meat are popular with the young dudes, but there are plenty of much healthier options including soups and salads too. The supermarket carries the hard to get Linda McCartney range of vegetarian pies etc, and an extensive range of salads, dips and dry goods under the Oasis label. There is an extensive range of Levantine cakes and desserts as well as beautiful macarons (not baked on the premises but still the best I have had in Melbourne) in luscious colours and flavours (Turkish Delight and Belgian Chocolate are my favourites $2.80 each, $14.95 for six - special gifts boxes a couple of dollars extra). The house pita is also a great buy - $1 for a pack in either wholemeal or white (get in early on weekends). A visit to Oasis can be an expensive proposition as there is a great temptation to try all the interesting new things as well as stocking up in the supermarket with everything from Israeli Tofutti (non dairy "ice cream") to frozen Russian piroshki. For the budget conscious, though, there are some great value options that will have you coming back regularly.

Been meaning to come here after reading their reviews on WOMO. I didn't end up eating at the cafe but just bought some Baklava and other sweets.

The place was a lot bigger than what I was expecting. They're a bakery as well as a Middle Eastern grocery store.

I can't really comment on the service - I already came in with a game plan. My friend's been raving on about their baklava as "one of the best in Melbourne". This was my first time trying Baklava and it was absolutely divine, though very sweet. I could probably only have 2 diamond baklava pieces.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back to try some of their other sweets.

Approximate cost: $15 for a sweet pack

Good bakery alternative for weekend brunches. Cannot be compared to local Sydney road middle eastern bakeries. Quality of food is also not as good as in the bakeries on Syd road. Customer service is definitely not the best, however it is understandable considering the traffic that goes through this bakery. The supermarket part has a huge variety of middle eastern food which is generally more expensive then smaller supermarkets of the same kind.

I remember when this was a dingy little supermarket/take away shop. That was only years ago. It has now boomed into a thriving Lebanese dining room and supermarket. I just love going here for quality Middle Eastern food and for some of my weekly shop. They have such an array of spices and breads - it's heaven. The shawama is my all time favourite - better than any gyros or souvlaki i have ever had :)

Overall the selection of Middle Eastern goodies here is fantastic, the food is also really nice but have to admit customer service is somewhat lacking for me, they are usually to busy to bother with assistance.
