These markets have a lot of great stuff, lot's of unusual things like hats with chickens on them. The food is great and reasonably priced. What I really liked is the fact that all the food places invited the kids to taste, I have been places where they are not very nice to kids. And it paid off because if the kids like it.. you tend to buy it. It is well set out, lots of room to move, not too crowded and as I said a huge variety of stuff. Would definately recommend a visit when your in Canberra.

I was really looking forward to going to the Old Depot Markets. I had heard so many good things about them, when I finally managed to get there I was totally disappointed. Maybe it was a off week, and it was just my luck, but there was nothing unusual about the markets and I was out of there within 15 minutes as I was just bored walking around looking at all the stalls. Defiantly not all it is hyped up to be.

Sundays are the best when you spend time at the Old Bus Depo markets, great food, new and old items for sale. They are as good as the ones in Sydney or Melbourne.

Approximate cost: $120

I LOVE this market. Really love the handmade goodies here. Have purchased a number of clothing and other handmade products. Love the quality. The stalls do change at times. Food wise, they have a bit of variety. Love the burger joint. Juice stall is awesome. The juice is so yummy. Good day out with kids too. They have the glassworks next door. Great day out for the family!

I absolutely LOVE the markets! As others have said, yes, it may seem to be on the expensive side, but the quality of everything on the food side is fantastic. The juice stand is fabulous, although if you're late, they do tend to run out!

The markets have some of the friendliest farmers I have ever met. They even educate me on how to pick out good honey - and by golly, were they good!

Favourite picks on the food side: Turkish dips, macaroons (near the entrance) and honey.

The craft side of things, I am not a great judge on the quality of products there. However, I love how there are so many unique things available. This christmas past, I managed to pick up a wonderful kids' hamper in one of the stalls as well as some hand made wooden toys for the boys. There's also a number of antique stalls that I think shouldn't be missed! have fun :)

I really like this market. Some of my friends say the price for some of food and products are a little too expensive. However, I think this place has really good atmosphere and lots of stores give free sample. So, they have to make up the profit somewhere. There is usually people busking and the instruments are generally different each week. Last week I heard some people play the drums and today I heard someone play the harp.

There is a stand that sells fresh juice. The juice is very yummy, but the downside is the queue for the juice is so long!

I also like that the market is undercover.

A great market to explore. A bit on the expensive side, but there are lots of vendors and lots of very creative people there. Some samples available too :) Food is available there too, and one of my friends even ran into Kevin Rudd while he was waiting for his food.

Fantastic! These markets have everything from gourmet food products to arts and craft to art work. They are on every Sunday from 10am, I highly recommend to anyone new to town, and is a great place to take visitors.
