I've dined here several times in the last few years. I celebrated my anniversary here two years in a row and my 30th birthday this year, dragging my two young children with me for lunch. Its a small bar style restaurant above the acclaimed Ezard and connected to a hotel reception. The decor is glamorous and well styled in deep reds and shine. Our last visit was during the day. Unfortunately we discovered the cocktails are only available in the evening. They are pretty special so I'd recommend an evening visit if you are interested in the theatrics of fabulous beverages. Think smoking cocktails, ones that fizz and pop in your mouth. The works! The food is pretty good here, but the desserts are the stand out. Think cigar boxes with edible chocolate cigars, a perfect Apple, an apothecary jar with an edible aquarium inside. It really is a must visit in Melbourne's dining.

One of the best places I have been for dessert! Lovely range of desserts that will satisfy your sweet tooth!

Amazing desserts! Went there at lunchtime, so only a limited number of desserts on offer, but the goats cheese croquettes & "After 8" dessert was divine - inspired by the classic "after dinner mints". As stated by another reviewer - I would love to eat here every day, but my cholesterol levels would go through the roof! Dying to go back for their 3 dessert degustation!

Amazing. This is a very chic and sophisticated after dinner lounge. It features swing seats, trendy zizag soft furnishings, black cauldron chairs and a well-stocked bar. The atmosphere is post modern jazz lounge, with the contemporary attitude and shine, combined with sleek elegance.
I love it the moment I walked in. But if there had been any doubts, I'm sure they would have been dispelled the moment the desserts arrived. Each plate is a sheer work of art, and a delicious one at that. Just one example was the 'Raspberry Fields' a visual delight - a mushroom centrepiece composed of a head of frozen raspberry sorbet (complete with white cream dots for authenticity) sitting on top of a meringue stem, surrounded by squirts of raspberry and rosewater cream, lychees, raspberries and strawberries, popcorn crumble.
I would definitely recommend a visit Om Nom. A great place to finish off a night out, or maybe even start (why bother with dinner? With Om Nom, I am happy to start and end with dessert).
