First of all shout out to Matt for fixing our booking and making the trip a blast. I'd greatly recommend Ozsnow to anybody looking to make new friends, who like mingling with other young adults and don't mind shared accommodation. Ozsnow is great bang for buck and it really saves the hassle of organising your own trip to Perisher or Thredbo.

Approximate cost: $650

Given a choice, I will rather have driven up to the ski resorts myself. Snowy valley small rooms, shared toilets and rationed meals aside. The service staff (guide and management) of the ski trip are appallingly unprofessional. Let me detail why, I'll try to be chronological. Booked the trip on scoopon at a slight discount. Being a group of 5 first timers to ski, we knew literally nothing about the choices and packages till we were on the bus. When i arrived at 5.57pm bus departure time, I've already received a barrage of calls from my friend asking me where am I as the guide was already unhappy. FYI - there was no information given regarding what time we should arrive, only that the bus departs at 6pm. So does it matter if I reach only a few minutes beforehand and others are waiting? It's not really my fault and I don't deserve seeing the black faces of the driver and the guide. Neither do I need to be reminded for being early as I wasn't late. On the way to the mountains itself, they started collecting money and confirming itenary and stuff starting from the back row. Having taken a long time, they reached us almost in the middle of the bus. They did not explain nor had patience to suggest whether other ski resorts are better nor was they knowledgable about the price difference. We had to even dig out our scoopon deal to confirm details that they should have already known. They left us to our own devices and came back 10 minutes later. We told them we aren't ready yet and needed to discuss and they rudely mentioned that we are a troublesome bunch. Excuse me, you are being rude when you don't even bother doing your job of explaining details to first-timers, how are we going to make choices with your ill-informed information. Finally, we had decided and made our choices, and they came over to bill us. I was uncertain of what was needed to rent and they didn't give any advice. I had to take advice from the lady seated next to me on what I should rent or not rent. So, the new orders had to be added to my initial bill and they kept asking my name again and again (really annoying) and had to say loudly in the bus YOU AGAIN and give me that really irritated look. Furthermore, I was OVERCHARGED. we were told to rent outfits for 3 days when we were only skiing 2 days for $36 citing renting on the spot will cost $60 at least. However, when we reached the resort, we realised the outfits could be rented for $31 for two days. It was another added unprofessionalism on their part. The next day, we went to Perisher valley for skiing and there were two tubes to take to where we had to learn skiing. We were totally lost as there was no guide there but only at Threadbo (where Ozsnow had their business). They totally didn't explain to us on what transport to catch to the place we should head to, to redeem our ski lessons. Yet again, profit over customers satisfaction prevails yet again. Furthermore, being new to skiing, we aren't aware of probable dangers. My friend and I were caught in a snowstorm when we stumbled down the wrong slope and got lost. We were 25 minutes late and even told the company before hand. When we finally arrived (bus haven't arrived from threadbo yet), we got 7-8 insults the whole journey back to the resort. Putting that aside, I thought the saga will end but no it does not. We had already explained our situation and apologise but the insult does not stop here. When our group was about to go to the sauna/pool after dinner, this particular staff who walked passed shouted loudly, latecomers should be banned from going to the pool and they gave a smug smile. This is indeed unprofessional coming from the guide, which makes me miss my guide from Fraser island who behaved professionally even after two girls were repeatedly late on many occasions. I felt we were being victimised and hence I wrote a message and email to the head office at Bondi Junction. Management emailed me the next day to call them back. However, I was on the mountains and couldn't do so. In the evening, I received a call from the management through the guide staff handphone. I had cited in my earlier email about all the problems we faced with that particular staff and the overcharging. The only issue management was concerned was our lateness. Not only did they not emphasise with us, they said we only wait for customers no more than 20 minutes and after that they have to pay their own transport down the mountains (note that), and that the staff was only joking (note that). I don't find it respectful if your joke becomes overboard. One/two time is a joke and after that its not. Management said this is done to defray tempers from other passengers.(really, there wasn;t such practice with other patrons on other tours). Moreover, we had a valid reason. Anyway to cut the story short, I didn't buy into management story because they do not listen to the customer.
