Three purchases equally $100+ was made on my credit card which was saved into the app. I did not make these purchases, the address on my file was changed and then password changed/locked out of account. Called my bank and blocked my card and launched a dispute to get the money back. When I went on the app before the password was changed there was another item $140+ sitting in the ‘cart’. New card replaced and yet another purchase was made and overdrew my account. Bots or hackers making fraudulent purchases on cards saved in the app as the payment method. Not good. Have reached out to have the orders cancelled and money refunded and still in the process. Be careful using this app!
Ordered goods and they kept pushing back shipment date. After 3 weeks, told us they encountered some stock issues and needed to cancel our order, and yet, the goods remained advertised on the website throughout the whole process. After cancellation, we had to buy the exact same product from another supplier and paid $97 more on a $300 item. All our communications have been ignored, no apology and no compensation offered for the inconvenience and extra cost.
*UPDATE* For anyone wondering how this is progressing - NSW Fair Trading has investigated and given OzSale 7 calendar days from yesterday's date [22/12] to provide a remedy to me "in accordance with their obligations under Australian Consumer Law". That's 6 days left OzSale.
Absolutely ridiculous scam company. After very carefully researching the dimensions of the solar tiki torch, including taking screenshots of what I purchased, I have ended up with 8 falsely advertised solar torches, at dimensions far far less than what I purchased. They are in fact a completely different product, the smaller size of what was sold to me. Advertised 790x120mm, received 500x70mm. Not even close. OzSale has not responded to my complaint in any way shape or form in three weeks - not advised how they are going to deliver me the products I purchased, not advised how they are going to retrieve the incorrect products at no cost to me and refund my money. Nothing at all. Not even an acknowledgement of the issue in 3 weeks of sending email after email.
Approximate cost: $79
Ozsale might have great bargains, but don't ever expect your refund any time soon. I lodged a claim nearly 2 weeks ago. I've received a claim number, but nothing else. Buyers beware!!!
Approximate cost: $80
Purchased a product, asked for a refund which was approved in writing. Sent the product back as per their instructions and they refuse to give my money back. Do not purchase from this company because they don’t give refunds.
Approximate cost: $1800
Great quality and great service, definitely coming back.
sales sometimes seem to end early and postage does take longer then stated, however items are always as described
I am just skipping through these comments here and I wonder about some of them.
It is a discount webside, they state in their terms that you won't get your money back very clearly as well as the postage cost and delivery times.
People should read before complaining.
I personly never buy any beauty products as I know were they buy their products from (generly it is very very old stock or factory seconds)
I love the shoe deals they always have and yes i always make sure I check the size charge exactly eache time I place an order.
I bought several clothing items as well over the last 3 years and I was very happy with all of them.
Would definitely not recommend. Sizing is terrible on ladies clothes and when they don't fit you can't get your money back, only a store credit so continually losing money on postage. I tried to complain but they don't care. Really poor customer service, will never purchase again!!
The warehouse in sale in Smithfield is awful! Everything looks old and used, really not worth the time. I don't understand how so many people were buying things there, I actually felt bad and want them to tell them that there were so many other places where they could be better things at a better price and quality, I guess just the word WAREHOUSE SALE can brain wash you.
Approximate cost: $100
Just be aware that Ozsale sells quilt covers on a regular basis that do not fit Australian quilts. They are presumably sourced from overseas where different sizing applies. I got caught out with a double bed cover that was 200 x 200 cm, which is 10 cm too short for my Aussie quilt. Whilst Ozsale were happy to give me a credit, they are continuing to sell this size in various sales since, despite my having contacted them about the covers being "not fit for purpose" under Australian law.
I have brought a couple times from ozsale but have recently had a terrible experience.
I sent an enquiry to ozsale to querie the adverstised item as it was pictured as grey, and the title stated "grey quilt cover set" however the descpirtion of the item was blue. On the inital contact back the lady said the sale is no longer on, so i went back onto the website and saw that is was in fact still on for another few days and the item was still avaliable - not sure how somebody working there could mistake this!!!!
I then responded and expalined the sale was current and the items still avaliable and the second response i got (days later) was that I will need to go by the items description - as you can imagine the description stated two different things - so i then responded AGAIN and it's now been 3 days later with no response and the sale will end without me able to purchase...
I have been a customer of Ozsale for many years but over the last year their customer service, delivery times have been terrible. You place an order and pay for it then for some reason the supplier apparently cannot fill the order but Ozsale does not inform you of this!!! Trying to get a refund back to your original payment method for this has been a real headache, they want to give you a store credit but I do not want that as I never ever want to deal with them ever...I will certainly not be using this site ever again!
I've been using Ozsale for 3 years now and I am a HUGE fan. It does take some time for the goods to arrive sometimes, but that is advertised (7-21 days from the end of sale) I regularly buy from China/Hong Kong/UK/Europe etc and 40 days is the norm for them so 7-21 isn't strange to me at all. I've only had nothing but wonderful customer service from Ozsale, but I don't expect a reply within 15 minutes, again, as I shop from all over the world and I'm used to different time zones and communication taking awhile a day for a reply doesn't bother me at all. I love the $9.95 flat shipping rate and free shipping on other purchases within an hour. I take advantage of that as much as possible. Returns are a breeze and are always processed within 5 days as stated. Out of 100 or more purchases (that's a conservative estimate, I mean I buy from Ozsale every week easily) 95 of them have been brilliant. Buying sight unseen theres always some room for error, usually on my part. I love having things from all over the world that no one else has and I'm constantly getting stopped in shopping centres and being asked where did you get that bag/top/shoes etc. I LOVE Ozsale and so do all of my friends :)
Approximate cost: $thousands
I've used Ozsale a few times and visited their Smithfield warehouse for sales, never had a problem personally but friends have online.
I'd love to live near the warehouse! Would just about be my second home! You just have to be patient with online purchases. Being able to buy so many different things from different places in the world for a flat rate of $9.95 is insane, to get stuff from the US sometimes I'm paying twice what the item is worth. I can be patient.
With this crowd, it's a matter of hit and miss. Unfortunately, the last 'miss' was a biggie and left me $100 out of pocket. I ordered two Strivectin skincare products - one for face contour, the other for the neck. I've been fortunate enough to receive Strivectin products as gifts prior to this and I know the packaging, quality, etc. It's an expensive and fairly high-end brand (originally developed as treatments for post-operative scarring & stretch marks). It is manufactured in the USA by Klein Becker in Utah. Well, was I unpleasantly surprised to receive the package I'd been eagerly awaiting! Firstly, it was stuffed into a brown paper envelope with very little (if any) bubble wrap as protection. One of the products was in a box, while the other was not. There were no tamper-proof seals or expiry dates on either product (or the box). Anyone could have opened these jars and nobody would have been any the wiser. This just didn't seem right to me. The USA has very strict laws around packaging, etc. So, I opened the first jar and then the second, and both creams were exactly the same yellow-ish colour and smelt the same too! I have a heck of a good sense of smell (not much gets past me), and this was becoming more and more suspicious to me. I went online to check out the official Strivectin website, and lo and behold, neither of the two products I'd received was among their current stock. The jar designs also looked slightly different. My guess is that these were either 'lookalikes' from another supplier, or very old stock. When I called to discuss this with OzSale, at first they were fairly helpful and said they would find out what they could do. However, since the jars were not damaged (I now wish I'd smashed them on the ground!), they didn't see any reason for a return and refund. The fact that these products could easily have been contaminated due to unhygienic/unsafe packaging didn't seem to bother them at all. I was furious, so I told them I would be contacting Fair Trade NSW, which I did. OzSale did not seem even the slightest bit concerned. Now I know why. You have to fill out multiple forms and lodge multiple requests before anything concrete gets done. Unfortunately, at that time, I was under immense work pressure to meet some hectic deadlines, so simply didn't have the time to follow through. I bet OzSale knew that. So, lesson learnt - I'll never buy anything from them again. Pity it was an expensive lesson! From now on, I'll stick to what makes sense: "If it's too good to be true, then it probably isn't"! Buyer beware, I guess.
PS: I previously bought what looked like a stunning Italian leather handbag from OzSale. The scariest thing was that the official website for this brand looked absolutely amazing... until you started to read the wording. It was not good English and not Italian English either - it was what I've heard mentioned as 'Chinglish'. There was something very suspect about that site. But I only looked closer once my handbag eventually arrived in the post. This was because the 'Italian leather' handbag, didn't look or smell like genuine leather to me, and the size didn't correspond with the dimensions given - it was much smaller. There was absolutely no branding anywhere, and the inner was cheap and nasty (waterproof plastic-type of material). In this instance, I reckon OzSale must have had a number of complaints, because they were happy for me to return it and refund me - even if this process did take a while. Other items, such as scarves, and a leather wallet (as long as you know the brand) have been OK, but this last episode with the Strivectin creams has put me off for good. Give me MyNetSale anyday!
wow thank you for your detailed message, sorry to hear, wont go near them.

I am really surprised to see so many postive comment about ozsale. Hada terrible experince with them I ordered few nail polish one of them was cracked who sends nail polish in a A4 envelop??? My neon red pokish got into all other bottles took me over ever to clean customer service was so bad took two weeks to get back didnt refund my money gave me ozsale credit I was so mad I am not going back to this site ever again
The sales are great but I hate how if I want to purchase a couple of different things from the different sales I have to pay for separate postage for each sale. Postage is $10. So it adds up. Can get good kids clothing and house hold items. I have not purchased adults clothing yet. It has sizing charts available so you have a rough idea what size to order.
You are mistaken, that's not how it works at all. Your shipping is discounted off your purchase at the end of checkout as long as you are within the hour. You missed out on a lot of bargains!
I really enjoy looking at the OZSALE site, but I'm not sure I would order clothing on there again. I have placed three orders in the past because the prices were great, but the quality of the items showed that you do get what you pay for sometimes. I would only use the site for brands I know of and can be fairly certain the quality will be good. I would also advise not to order if you want your items quickly. One order took over a month to be despatched to me as some are sent from overseas warehouses. Still fun scrolling through the sales though!
Thanks for this. I have also ordered a few things from there. I ordered a pair or adidas sneakers which looked amazing but aren't very comfortable, s I am questioning how legit they were... plus they had all Chinese stickers all of the box when they were sent to me.
I've been using Ozsale for quite a while now and have completed about ten different orders from them. Most of them have been very good, although service is all via the internet they reply quickly and do genuinely do a good job.
Great bargains and great way to buy high end xmas gifts for a lot less. There is a wait of several weeks so you need to be prepared for this. I had multiple orders with multiple items and everything turned up with no mistakes between 2 and 5 weeks of placing my orders.
Approximate cost: $1000
One of the best online shopping websites in australia. I ordered a ring once and was delivered the wrong size , the return was not a problem however i had to pay the postage to the company. If you're lucky you can find good bargains
This is one of my TOP 5 shopping sites. I look at the sales on Ozsale everyday on my iPhone app. From kids clothes to pet food, they always have sales. I buy lots of clothes, shoes, handbags etc from some of my favourite brands. The service is fantastic (same day email response) Also when I invite friends, I get money to spend once they purchase.
this is one of my favourite sites they also have an iPhone app .the delivery does take a while and they don't have capped delivery fees.give them a chance your bound to find a bargain you cant miss
I've been an OzSale shopper, for sometime now, but I must say, their 'Customer Service' is very disappointing. I understand and except that it takes almost one month, most times, to receive ordered goods, but, their Customer Service response is severly lacking. Be warned, you will have to take to Facebook, a public forum, to garner any sort of response and even then, you will still be kept waiting, invariably, having to take to Facebook again! They have a wide variety of goods, at reasonably good prices, but, you're sometimes left wondering why you bother at all! Tread carefully with this site! At least WOMO had the phone number I needed, because it ain't advertised on their site, so, thanks WOMO!
Hi Peeweekathi, thanks for a well written review that is packed with relevant information. We have often wondered whether the afore-mentioned business was legitimate or not and have appreciated your candid comments. Regards, Reeces
love this online store HOWEVER postage and delivery are really really slow, but the goods you buy are so cheap you really do have to accept the wait for delivery.
Amazing variety online shopping. Fast reliable delivery. Love receiving their specials emails everyday!!
I have to disagree with the below post, yes the postage can take some time, but thats one of the side-affects of buying online and saving money! Items do often get out of stock, but if you get in early you can get quality products at low prices.
Like all other bargain sites, they take forever to arrive!
Everything seems to be "out of stock" when I finally get my email, too! Maybe they send them out in groups and I'm the last one? Haha.
But seriously, by the time it arrives - you forgot you even purchased it.
I receive offers in my inbox from Ozsale daily, with some great deals although I am usually disappointed when the real bargains on this site are already sold out by the time I get to see them! One time I was lucky enough to scoop a bargain purchase, but it took ages to arrive in the mail (a month)! The product was not packaged very thoughtfully either.
That was my first and last purchase from Ozsale.
Great range of sales, constantly changing but they run out of stock way too quickly which is a real pain. The discounts on items makes them ridiculously cheap. However, when it comes to customer service, they really do stink! They take forever to reply to enquires or complete a refund. I wouldnt suggest buying presents on here, as they take really long to arrive. What annoys me the most is that you have to pay $9 shipping for each separate sale category, plus 50c for each item thereafter. Ive ordered toys and puzzles for my nephew that I was really happy with, but also purchased some dresses, which looked quite different in the photo on the site compared to real life.
Hi Localperson, appreciated your comments and the detail given. Regards, Reeces
