Papillon is a beauty salon located in the centre of Hobart CBD (in Elizabeth St Mall). It offers a wide selection of beauty treatments, including eye treatments, waxing, facials, pedicures and massages etc.

On Fridays between 9:30 and 4pm you can get half price beauty treatments with the beauty academy students. For example you can get a 1 hr massage for only $40!

Some treatments aren't available until the middle of the year as students don't learn those treatments until June or July (eg massage, advanced facials etc).

If you go towards the end of the year, the students are 'salon ready' so although you're only paying half price for the treatments, you're actually getting the same level of service you would get a month later in the salon - what a bargain!

The only down side to many of the treatments (including massages) is that you don't have your own private treatment room, so there are many people getting massages at the same time in one room (still private areas though). The atmosphere isn't as relaxing as some other beauty salons.

I have used Papillon for various beauty treatments over the years and have found them to be a great beauty salon.
I recently went for a mini pedicure and was pleased with the result.
They are also a training academy so you can often get treatments from the students at a discounted rate.
The salon has moved from its old location in the Cat and Fiddle arcade, and is now in the Elizabeth St mall just up from Target.
