This service is abysmal. Booked days in advance for a $425 cleaning of a newly leased apartment only to have the service call on the day to cancel. The response of the company is disgusting, they would not reschedule or reassign the service and the $425 was already taken off my credit card.

Do NOT book this service unless you want to be disappointed. As a customer, be prepared to receive service only when it's convenient to them.

We are now out of pocket 425 and will need to book ANOTHER service at shorter notice which will cost us further. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

Yesterday my wife and I hired Pauls cleaning service for our studio apartment in Surry hills for our end of lease clean.

The booking process was simple and we were quoted $365($265+100 to sugar soap the walls).

However, on the today of the 'clean' an unexpected increase of $200 occurred, they then said they would not offer their 'bond back' guarantee and threatened to cancel on the job which would leave us without the apartment professionally cleaned before we hand back the keys(due to the poor service we did to pay a week extra in rent to clean the place ourself).

I came home as they were packing up and spoke to management and advised him to leave my property as I was quoted initially $365 and was interested in paying an extortion fee.

They kept refusing to leave the house until I paid them, naturally I gave them the $365(unknowing my wife has already given them a $100 deposit).

After the whole ordeal I come inside and find that the walls weren't even washed and the place was an absolute mess. I contacted customer service who advised me that they won't be coming back to finish the job, nor offer any refund as the cleaners who visited myself aren't even Paul's cleaners.

Apparently it's a franchise, so now the day after I'm yet to receive a receipt despite paying over $100 of the initial quote.

Update: It's been more than a week since the incident(the clean), they've called me up twice now to say they will not be doing anything for me... I don't see why they needed to call me twice.

Asher and Aiden have once again been unable even promise me a callback from anyone in management. And finally, I am yet to get a receipt despite it being more than a week since the clean.

So i'm just going to let all of you fellow reviewer or anyone else who is thinking about dealing with this company know what occurred:

They offered me a full refund of $450, but don't think this means they are a company who cares about their customers. I can assure you they don't.

They only contacted me only after my reviews and tried to make me jump through plenty of hoops to get my refund, they also kept putting off the refund for almost 5 days. Never even got a receipt, so I will be going to consumer affairs hoping they get the maximum $15,000 fine and plenty other poor business practises will be brought to their attention.

Moral of the story is really, if they don't do the job, just keep posting, they're not a good company to deal with and anyone with a horror story should let the public know.

Very disappointed by the poor quality, lack of effort and all the lazy excuses given by the cleaning team.

When asked to clean the bathroom soap-scum, the cleaner said "it won't come off, need to use special machine for extra $120". I later called in another cleaning company which easily scrubbed it off by hand. Same conversation regarding kitchen tops and wall stains. No way am i getting my bond back with soap scum still on the shower tiles.

There's also so many additional costs on top of the "end of lease" package for services which you'd expect is covered in a "bond-back guarantee" deal. On the spot, the cleaner charged me the following: Blinds is $20 per set (that's $100 for the whole apartment), wiping the balcony walls is $30 per wall (not even clean!), doing half of a laundry room (which is part of the bathroom) is apparently an additional $20.

Following my online feedback, the team did get in touch to remedy the situation through resending another team or through compensation, which is a professional response by their customer service department.

Great service, great price, very pleased... Cleaners were on time and both very friendly and in the same time hard-working and thorough. All in all they did a wonderful job cleaning my house.

They did a really nice job. They followed all my requests (that I gave while booking over the phone). I highly recommend Paul's to anyone who needs a little more time to themselves instead of cleaning. Thanks, will use again for sure!
