Complex and creative food. Excellent wines to accompany every dish on the menu. Great venue for a business dinner or for friends looking for a indulgent night out with great food/wines.

The food is rich and complex, utterly indulgent, original and creative. And the wines, carefully selected also. Lovely experience overall.

I feel as if their menu could be more selective and have more options. The premises and decor is actually very tasteful and nice. The service is good. Red wine duck and dipping breads were scrumptious but just wish there was more on the menu,

I was impressed by Pendolino from the start, the customer service was impeccable. The restaurant was very nicely presented and classy. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh bread and olive oil tasting. We ordered two different pastas dishes and shared them. The dishes were average, and certainly not worth the $40 price tag. I am not sure I will eat here again, our meals lacked the wow factor.

The best meal I have ever had in AustraliaNo really. I was that good. I had a starter of pasta with veal and marrow. The aroma was unbelievably savory. My main course was slow cooked veal that was butter tender and incredibly full of flavor. My companions and I shared an excellent bottle of Grenash wine. For desert I had a selection of sorbet. The service was impeccable and reflected the serious focus on the high quality of food and the dining experience.

I had read the reviews and was looking forward to it very much. It is on the 2nd Floor of the historic Strand Arcade, you take the old lift near the entrance of the arcade. This restaurant is all class; great service from people who know what they're talking about, simply stunning food with incredible ingredients beautifully presented in stylish surrounds. The ravioli is my favourite however there was nothing ordinary about the fresh oysters, melt in your mouth tuna carpaccio salad, tender 10 hour cooked blade steak, or the sweet and not too rich semifreddo dessert I ordered. This is a must go to.

I am hearing the best feedback about this restaurant, I think it is high time to make a reservation and try out the food :-)

My boyfriend and i wanted to grab a light dinner on a Thursday night although you'd usually not choose Italian, we decided why not - just order smaller portions.

We caught the old lift to level 3 in The Strand, we arrived & the reception was 1 meter from the lift. we got out & waited for a couple of minutes until the waiter & waitress acknowledged us as they were in the middle of an argument. We waited for a little bit & were guided into the bustling restaurant.

We were sat in front of the open kitchen & could watch the chefs at work. While waiting to order we were given a basket of bread for the olive oil dips already on the table, fruity mix, lemon & orange flavour - the mix was the nicest of three. I ordered an entree size of PAPPARDELLE CON RAGU DI VITELLA E MAGGIORANA - Hand Cut Pappardelle with White Rocks Veal Ragu, Marjoram and Bone Marrow. The Pappardelle was deliciously fresh & soft. My partner loved his risotto which was fish - the special for the night.

After our dishes were cleared, the waiter came over with a little lamp & the dessert menu which we declined as we're not dessert people.

Although we entered when there was a slight argument, we left with great food in our tummies.

Approximate cost: $26

To sum it up, what a wonderful taste experience! The olive oils supplied for dipping your bread in are beautifully fragrant and the breads are scrumptious. There was this entree dish I ordered containing cannellini beans that was so heavenly, I still can't get it out of my mind. Everything else I ordered there, including desserts, were also fantastic. The decor is beautiful, and I particularly like the subdued lighting, which gives the place a calm sort of feeling.

great environment and quiet, not too pricey. Their pasta are freshly made, love it. Their menu are not big but have enough to choose from. Their dessert are nice too.
