PlayZone is great rainy day (or hot summer day) activity for tireless young children, or even better, a fantastic party venue. I visited the indoor playcentre as a party guest many times as a child, and now younger relatives in my family enjoy birthday parties in the same themed rooms I once did.

The themed party rooms (there are five or six) are all much loved by party guests (the DiscoLand room especially, has always been a big hit within my family) and create a unique party while still making use of the huge play space.

PlayZone's playground is one of the biggest indoor playgrounds I have ever seen, and whilst it is not always as clean or quiet as some others in South East Vic, it seems to be the one that is deemed most fun by younger relatives.

Entry fees are relatively cheap, and whilst you cannot bring your own food, the cafe offers a wide range of lunch and snack options. The seated cafe area for parents and older siblings is comfortable, kept warm in winter, and away from the noise of the main playground, without being too far from the toddlers area.

It is also conveniently located near a range of other food options, including Dominos Pizza, McDonald's, Chinese Takeaway, and more, for those wanting to eat lunch before or after going inside.

Overall, it is a great atmosphere for all, and great place for families with children of all ages to catch up. The only downside is that it can be hard to find a parking space on busy days.

A great place to take your kids for the play of there life or to throw them a party. Have been to quite a few parties here myself even as a child. They have always been great. Been around for years. The food here is okay not too pricey but the play equipment is out of this world. The massive drop slide is far best part about the whole place. LOVE IT!

OMG you kids will love this place. I think the slide is the biggest dropslide in australia. Entry prices for kids are very resonable and adults are free. There is a cafe here and you can just relax while you watch your kids play.

I have taken my kids here for a play day and for birthday parties. The place is big enough for the kids to run around (and the adults) while you can have a cuppa and something to eat. The place is a bit dirty but a lot of it is dust on the equipment. Tables are always clean. Staff are pleasant. Try the slide that drops straight down. A lot of fun but not open all the time.

Although the lowest in admission costs, this playcentre, i have found on each visit, is quite dirty. The childrens toys arent clean, there is a lot of dust, most unimpressive, particularly for a childrens play centre. After my last visit, my child had suffered from gastro. Wasnt happy and have not returned!!

This play centre is quite roomy and large for the children to run around. I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old who both had a great time. They wouldn't have a problem going again although I found it to be quite dirty and play equipment damaged. The nets on large play structure are ripped in some areas and lots of chocolate rappers and dust collected on nets throughout the structure.
We were there during the week there was only 1 other family there at the time with 2 staff members and 1 of them spent most of their time on the mobile. I think their time could have been better spent cleaning. Overall it was dirty and dark but has great potential if it was better managed.

Approximate cost: $7

Things have obviously gone downhill in the last 6 months. I first went to PlayZone about 5 years ago and it was lightyears ahead of anything else. Unfortunately, regular maintenance hasn't happened and the quality has suffered.
The netting through the main play area has many holes through it. The innovative Time Trial section that was introduced a few years ago should have been left alone with the gate entry, now it is just another part of the play area complete with shortcuts through the netting. Far too much area dedicated to party rooms, would be better to take 2 or 3 out and use that area more productively. And the one thing that I really noticed is that it was FREEZING in there (mid winter) and I don't feel the cold as much as most. As mentioned by others, there is not a lot for parents, the usual Melbourne's Child to read plus a couple of Cleos if you're quick enough.
The toilets were clean, which is a change from some, and the admission was cheap (IIRC it was $9.50 for kids 6 and over, $8.50 for 3-5 and zero for adults), but the pricing in the cafe looked high. Not a bad place for those on a tight budget, but if you can afford a couple of extra $ there are better places.
All in all, it's time for it to be shut for a couple of weeks and some serious work done on bringing it up to scratch.

Approximate cost: $9.50ea

children love playzone, everyone finds it fun and any day you go there, at least three birthday parties are going on, there are many different themes for parties.
The vertical slide is not always open, if you find it open it's definitely worth a try.

there's not much for parents to do, children and pre-teens aren't allowed to leave the place without the parents leaving with them.

Interesting environment for children to play and have a party. I found it to have good customer service and nice staff. It is a very safe place for different age children to play. I will recommend this place for my friend's children to play or have a party.
