This place has a great atmosphere especially on a Friday or Saturday night with friends. My favourite snacks are the shaved ice with fruit toppings. However the biggest downside is the service. Terribly slow and just not particularly friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place as an evening snack as there are plenty more options available in Strathfield such as frozen yoghurt. But I'd recommend the ice shaving with fruit topping if you're after something a bit different. Also if you don't handle cigarette smoke well, don't go here.

My fav place to hang-out. Always come here for a coffee or even food sometimes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. But I always sit outdoor as it quite a large area and you can smoke. The coffee and food are good, but not WOW.

Approximate cost: $15

Cool place to hang out, and I agree about the food, pretty average.

My friends and I love coming to House of Pumpkin Café for catchup over drinks. You can either sit on the inside or outside. Inside seatings are nice and cosy. Since we have a big group of people (16 people for a meeting over a project), the staff nicely asked the couples sitting on the other tables to move so we can put a few tables together to cater for our group. I love ordering the Ginseng tea and Yuza Tea. They serve hot food as well. The prices are quite competitive. However, due to language barrier or miscommunication, the waitstaff brought out wrong orders, but it was all sorted out at the end. It closes quite late past midnight, so friends can hang around longer for catching up. It can be very difficult to find parking though.

Approximate cost: $15

It's open until very late, great environment. Good coffee and other drinks but service wasn't that great, as they forgot a few items our table ordered.

This cafe has lots of outdoor area so people tend to come here to eat/chat/smoke. The food isn't outstanding, but ok. As for service, the waiters don't speak much English, but just Korean, so it may be inconvenient if you don't know much Korean.

Food and service are decent. But what I especially like is that you can smoke here because there are plenty of outdoor space.

This is a typical cafe where you could sit outdoors or indoors. I don't like sitting outdoors though, because there are too many people smoking here. Often there's a noisy bunch of kids coming here too, so I would try to avoid afternoons, and just come here for morning coffee if I do.

This is one of my usual hotspots for saturday evenings. I usually come here for dinner or just to hang out cafe-style.

For dinner, I almost always get the bulgogi rice. Serving is large and very filling. For dessert, I usually just get coffee or the 'big boy' which is a big bowl of asian dessert. It has red bean, ice, coconut and fruits on tops. It's big enough to share!

The waiters speak very little english so it's handy to have a friend who speaks fluent Korean.

There is only an outdoor seating area. The building makes it look like you can sit indoors..but you can't.

Approximate cost: $20
