They used to be good back in 2016 when a man came to clean, dry and deodorise, taking 90 mins to do four rooms and a hallway. In 2022 however, the standard dropped badly. This time a man came and all he did was put water into the carpet, the carpet had no stains removed, just puddles of water, which took over 24 hours to dry (with heaters on). Man dashed off leaving my elderly parents without even a receipt. I complained, the representative rang my 90 year old father, telling him the carpet was threadbare (it was not) and that a man would have to come around and examine the carpet! at his age, he didn't' want more stress, and said "just forget about it". $122 to put water into the carpet. Thank god no mould resulted. I cannot remember the last time I have seen such terrible service anywhere.

Run! Turn and run away from Pure Dry! Find another company to do your carpet cleaning job!!!

I've had a really disappointing experience with this company.
They cancelled our appointment last minute, and when this happened, the staff I spoke to on the phone were belligerent, unhelpful and argumentative. I felt like they they basically couldn't be bothered.

When they first called to cancel the appointment, they initially said the cleaner wouldn't be able to get there until 6pm, (3 hours late) and when I discussed this with them it turned out they were being sarcastic and this wasn't a genuine offer: "No of course I didn't meant that. Would you want your sofas cleaned at 6pm??". Well, yes, possibly I would actually. I found this kind of strange.

I felt they were trying to be kind of manipulative as well, describing the situation as 'the poor cleaner' having to deal with a busy day, and 'we're doing you a big favour squeezing you in tomorrow', trying to make me feel guilty for commenting on how inconvenient this was that they were cancelling the appointment, when in fact I'd rescheduled paid work commitments to be there and it really messed up my family's plans.

If they'd called a few hours earlier we wouldn't have gone to the trouble of clearing our living areas of things ready for their visit. I asked them for a discount as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience and they were unfriendly and kept interrupting me. They told me they'd speak to the manager and have an answer for me in a few hours about my request for a discount because of the inconvenience - finally I was offered 'free sanitation' of the carpet in the living room instead of a discount, which is not what I asked for.

We are going ahead with the rescheduled appointment, as time is tight and we need the carpets done, but even before they've done the clean, based on the booking experience so far I would not use this company again and I would not recommend them.

Hi Sonia,
I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you, but unfortunately the technician who was on his way to your property had a break down, we contacted you immediately and notified you of the situation which unfortunately is out of our hands, we understand that this puts you out, which is why we offered free sanitising on your carpet to compensate you, we also made you priority for today's booking. Again I do apologise for the inconvenience. I will make sure your job is done to your satisfaction.

Hi there,

Your story of why the technician couldn't come is different to the one I was told by the staff member who called me.

I was told the technician wasn't able to come because the job booked previous to mine was much bigger than anticipated, and was going to take them much longer than they thought, so he would be too tired and it would be too late in the day for him to come after that job was done. I would have considered having the technician come at 6pm but was told that wasn't possible as it would be too late in the day and inconvenient for the cleaner.

I was notified at 12.45pm, 15 minutes before his earliest start time at our house, that he wouldn't be coming. Surely if the cleaner arrived at his previous job and found it was much bigger than expected, the company could have called us earlier than 12.45pm.

Also, the only reason I was offered sanitising in one of the five rooms I'm having cleaned, was because I asked several times for some kind of gesture of good will (specifically a discount or a free cleaning service on one of our car seats is what I would have liked), I really had to press the point. I was given the impression it was really inconvenient that I was asking for some kind of compensation.

Finally, I didn't get the impression it was 'priority booking' for today - it was the one time slot they could offer us, they were 'squeezing us in' before their technician has to run off. We would have preferred a later start time but we didn't have any choice on the arrival time, we were offered 10am-12 midday arrival, take it or leave it.

I understand things go wrong and things need to be rescheduled, I do understand that - my main complaint here is the way I was spoken to by staff members at Pure Dry, at times on my phone calls to them,I found them to be rude, sarcastic and hostile, and didn't really seem to care how inconvenient it was that they'd cancelled last minute.

The clean is being done this morning and I'd rather just put this behind me now.

I had my carpets cleaned a few days ago and the next morning my husband noticed his wedding ring missing. I brushed it off thinking he has just misplaced it and now we have noticed that his expensive watch is now missing out of the case which he doesn't take i out of!!! Now I am suspicious! I have now read reviews and seen that other people's things have been stolen!!
I will be phoning the company as well as the police to get to the bottom of it!

Have used them in the past and rang again this morning for quote in new house. Once quote was given started explaining details to the lady, then she goes off her head about the quote is fixed I've already told you the price. I said please calm down you don't need to raise your voice I'm only explaining the details to you, I'm not talking about the price. Then she yells back I've already told you the price 4 times you calm down! I said what is going on, then she over talks me and says if you're going to have a tantrum
On the phone I won't be taking it and hangs up on me. I guess they are just way too busy and don't need extra business. It was absolutely uncalled for and unnecessary. Great start to my morning thanks for the fantastic service.

My mother hired this carpet cleaning service from seeing an advertisement in the negotiator, in the advertisement they state they move light furniture, what a joke, didn't move any actual furniture they did how ever remove my phone from my bedroom, called me a liar, pretended that I had misplaced it, and when i rang my own phone, it was all of a sudden turned off (it's never turned off), so i tracked the location, and it was moving, i called the police, and after calling the man to return my property 5 times, he first claimed, he never saw it, then he claimed i must of misplaced it, then he claimed if I can't find it after the carpet dry's then he'll come back and help me look, by that time I already called the police.

Upon telling them I had called the police, he said he would come back and return my phone, and then the company made him give me a refund of the entire procedure. And begged me not to leave a review.

This happened 6 months ago, but upon telling my neighbours what happened that day, they insisted that I leave a review and tell others what crooks this company is.

My cream carpets we're RUINED from their service, he told me what was in the anti-bacterial cleaning solution,WATER AND BLEACH (that's not anti bacterial it's a clean cleaning solution, which should NEVER be used on carpets) my carpets now have a sprayed splotchy look even 6 months later from cream to white dots all over it in massive chunks. The cleaning group charged us $300 for 5 rooms, a hall way and stairs.

My proof of purchase is my horribly stained carpets, I threw out the receipt a while ago.

Despite other peoples mixed reviews I was happy with the tile and grout clean that I dad done on my home through pure dry. I paid $150 for 2 rooms to be done (bathroom/laundry & kitchen tiles) and they turned out beautifully.
The technician was on time. The price I was quoted didnt change and it was a professional service.
In regards to other peoples reviews on womo, I do not know how they are at carpet cleaning but I have read there advertising and it does state that they only move basic furniture.

We booked puredry to clean our downstair bedroom and our lounge suite, they advertised that they will move furniture before cleaning and return them back afterwards, the booking was between 10 to 11 my wife would take my daughter to preschool, the guy rocked up at 8 am without notifying he cleaned the lounges then he tod my wife that he's not geting paid to remove any furniture. So he cleaned part of the room and left it as t is.

A number of our family members are allergic to dust-mites. So we have to have our carpet cleaned professionally and regularly. we've used the pure dry service.

I've had a number of different carpet cleaners, these guys were great, did take a little longer than 2 hours to dry, but you could choose steam or dry cleaning, didn't get charged extra for stains an excellent business.

They were perfect- No faults
great job and friendly service
I used pure dry for the third time now and have no complaints with them at all. Each and every time the job has been done to its highest expectations. All the 3 times at my home they pre vacuumed my carpets, and sprayed chemicals on the carpet and then dry cleaned them. My carpets always come out looking immaculate and they take about 2 hours to dry. I dont normally go out of my way to leave positive feedback but i have found no fault with pure dry and recommend their work to all. I am now a VIP and receive a further 10% off all the work they offer. I will be using them to clean my bathroom and kitchen tiles next and will all let you know how that goes.

Had a mattress cleaned they quoted a price over the phone then when the two Indian guys turned up late, barely spoke or understood english quoted an extra $75, told me would get all stains out but didnt, they damaged the internal white wall when one of the guys carried the machine uptairs, lied about it and they couldnt understand the language on the receipt and argued with me over what certain words meant when i tried to explain to them. They are not trained proffessionals, the company is not a member of any assosiation. When i rang the office to complain they were very rude to me and lied about what they had said. Do not use this company, very dodgy.

I haven't had very good experience with carpet cleaners so was a little nervous about calling these guys, but from the first contact through to the contractor that came out to do the clean, they were professional, quick to respond, clear with communication, and most importantly did a great job with my carpets. Thoroughly recommend.

Carpets were pre vacuum prior to cleaning. you can choose the option of dry cleaning or steam cleaning; I choose Steam cleaning and the carpets came up really well and found they were dry by that afternoon.
