Don't ever change, Railway. I love it here. The jukebox and the pool table, the unamplified trad jazz on Thursdays and Fridays, the unassuming pub grub and the beautiful beer garden. It's the best.

great family enviroment. great kids meals, looked the pasta. they know how to cook. service was great. fast on meals. Nice place. Heard other great storys from here. my sister and me and the kids been here a few times. nice place for kids. must try and cheap as well

If you are looking for a family atmosphere with good home cooked Italian food, this is the place you must go. My husband and I have been going to The Railway Hotel for years now and have never once been disappointed. It's a terrific pub with lots of the old Italian men sitting around, eating and enjoying a glass of wine, followed by a friendly game of cards. There are very few of these kind of places left so I suggest you get down there before you miss out. As for the food, you can't go wrong. There is a blackboard with a wide selection ranging from traditional Italian style soups and pastas and of course if you're into offal you can get that too. There is a huge outdoor area and sitting under the grape vines on a warm summer's night is terrific. If you go say hi to Peter and Miriam for me.

I went to the Railway for a birthday dinner on Saturday night. It had been a few years since I was last there and remember having delicious fish meals. Its a pub, but it has the reputation for tradional Italian food. This time I ordered the lamb shanks- they came out with a creamy sauce, and over cooked celery and betroot- not what I was expecting. The lamb was tender, and good value as you got 2 shanks on the plate, but the sides were a little off putting. Next time , I 'll go back to the fish or pasta dishes.
