We contacted Respect Electric Services through a recommendation of a friend and the WOMOs reviews.

Initially my wife and I wanted to replace a few lights in our open planned house. I tried to explain my thoughts over the phone, however without hesitation Darren offered to come past our house after hours and talk though what we had planned instead. Darren must have been at our property for 2 hours talking through our ideas and giving us feedback on what would work, what wouldn’t work and the way the respective lights would cast the light/shadows once installed. Darren was never persuasive, often leaving the decision with us, however would always highlight the costs, pros and cons for each scenario. His professionalism and honesty could not be faltered

In the end we ended up changing 16 lights in the house instead of 5 based on the quality of his work. Not only was Darren the cheapest of all 4 quotes we received, but his workmanship is impeccable. I now look at the lights he installed as an investment in our property. Our house looks AMAZING and would not have foreseen the benefit without Darren’s guidance

One instance of Darren’s considerate nature was when he was replacing a light switch and noticed that the wires were loosely installed. As a result, Darren continued to check and rewire each light switch just in case they were coming loose. Each light switch may have taken him 1 minute to check, however it was his caring and attentive approach to review the entire house to confirm it was safe/secure, that surprised me the most.

In short Darren’s respectful and courteous attitude is a testament to his name, company and the praises he receives. His approach is built on integrity, reliability and honesty, Darren genuinely treats your property with the utmost care, as if his own.

He has excellent work ethics (he never gives up and always have a plan B in mind) and even took the time to help me sand and paint to ensure a flawless finish. Let me begin by saying that if you need an electrician, just hire Darren. Full stop. Now I’ll give my reasons. I consider myself quite a stickler for perfection and it’s very difficult to find people who can relate to you at the same level. We had to install lights to my porch pillars. The lights were beautiful and we thought that installing them would be a breeze. That was not to be!! Darren said that the builder had made it really tough to access the area and Darren said he would try but it seemed impossible. I was not happy at all as I really wanted those lights. Darren then took it upon himself and came up with a really creative solution (I think anyone else would have given up at this point).During the installation , he was always giving feedback to me and finally I have my beautiful lights installed. Now you must be wondering whether he is economical? Let me tell you that I checked quotes elsewhere and considering the brilliant work that he does you will get your monies worth.
Finally if Darren can’t do it, no one can!!!

Darren's service is first class at very reasonable prices. I had a spa, several power points/lights and data/co-axial cables installed which had Darren working late into the night over two visits. No job is too small or a problem for Darren. He is respectful of your demands and has plenty of advice to offer as well. All jobs were done to an extremely high standard...Darren takes no shortcuts and even had to rectify dodgy work done by other tradesman which he often did for free. Darren came out to my house and installed a power point to the best of his skills set promptly and at a great price. Darren came around to install the electrical work needed for our new oven, rangehood and cooktop. While he was here, we also asked him to fit in new LED lights in our ceiling and smoke alarms. He is very professional, easy to deal with, and has great work ethics. His attention to detail is also excellent, and it is clear that he is an expert in what he does. Darren was also upfront with costs and did his best to ensure we got the best value. We will be calling on him for more electrical work in the future and have already recommended him to our friend.

I recently got my bathroom renovated and Darren was my electrician of choice having done a great job on my kitchen several months ago. The wiring in my bathroom presented some problems as it was tied in with the wiring in my neighbor's apartment which of course resulted in an unexpected rewiring exercise. Also the wiring to my vanity was damaged during the installation of the vanity unit. Rather than removing tiles, Darren ran new wiring via a conduit along the top of one of my bathroom walls for the vanity light and power points.
I am very happy with the thorough, well finished job that Darren performed and his ability and patience to successful deal with unexpected challenges. I also am very happy with his choice of fan that draws air out of my bathroom into the ventilation system of the building rather than drawing air into my bathroom thereby reducing the input of cigarette smoke into my apartment.

Darren defiantly deserves 5 stars. Im a a business owner in the service industry so I expect alot from service.
I have a background in design and very aware of how i wanted my shop lighting designed. Compared to other electricians I gathered qoutes from, Darren was defiantly ahead in understanding my design concept and eleborating on design concept where it was needed. He actually saved me money based on his intimate understanding of lighting and old shop electrics/wiring...which was very tricky. His approach from the very beginning and guided design planning set him apart from the pack straight away.
I mostly loved his 'can do' attitude and optimistic character.
I called him once whilst we were still in the planning of the shop design as the power had gone out...he arrived within 20min and didnt charge!....I was very impressed. More imporatntly I trust him he isnt shonkie.

Darren completed the whole re-wire as well as various other electrical work including installation of powerpoints, downlights and audio visual connections for our house renovation.

Darren has been a delight to work with during our whole renovation. He was easily contactable and always attended our property on time. He did a fantastic job, was very careful and thorough measuring everything so it was all evenly spaced and looked great. He even installed the mirror on the wall! One of the best services I have ever had. When I was booking for installing a hot plate with Darren over the phone, I told him that I don't have a car and asked him whether he could pick up the hot plate I've just bought from Good Guys in High Point before coming to install it. He agreed without any extra charge. Darren is a very friendly guy and he did an excellent job. The new hot plate is half center meter longer than my old one, so it took him some extra time to make the hot plate to fit in, but again he still keep the original promised price. I was very impressed by Darren's work and his kindness. I definitely recommend Respect Electric Services to everyone.
