you do pay more...but you will not get a tastier tomatoes or strawberry, and what a great time we had...a fun filled morning picking our own strawberries...then sitting back in the café enjoying a lovely hot coffee while my daughter had a cold milkshake...theres a little place to buy jars of jams and relish and other goods.. staff are happy and we were well looked after..4 a great adventure I would definitely recommend ricardoes

Had a great morning here picking our own strawberries which my son loved doing, then the cafe had great food for lunch. The staff were friendly and made our lunch exactly to our order. The little shop with jams and other produce was great to take stuff home from.

a great day out. we pick our own strawberries. fun watching the kids pick them. i found it abit expensive but i suppose it covers the cost of buying it direct from the farm. the strawberries are very tasty and juicy. same with the tomatoes they are one of my best tomatoes i buy them all the time. after picking the strawberries we dine in the cafe and samples the jam. they are the best jams

What a great fun day out this was, picking the tomatoes was a treat for the kids, you can't get any fresher and the taste yum, Can get a bit busy on the weekends but didn't have to wait too long for our lunch order, and the staff were great.

awesome place to visit, the taste of the freshly grown and made items is amazing, the staff are lovely, and the kids are very welcome, the fresh picked strawberries and tomatoes are the best, and I love how you can taste jams and chutneys before you buy them

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! This is a great family day out. The sun was shining, the strawberries were out in full and the bucket just kept getting fuller. Being able to pick your own fruit is the best feeling. Only thing better is knowing that you can go right next door to their cafe and order knowing its come right from their. Would suggest that you get in early to avoid disappointment as it was extremely busy the weekend we visited.

Approximate cost: $5-20

My husband and I took the grandchildren here to have milkshakes and then to pick strawberries. The children changed their minds and had carton drinks and wouldn't eat anything, too interested in getting to the strawberries I feared. Hubby and I had flat whites and really enjoyed them. Next we got our bucket and went off to pick strawberries. It was as interesting for us two oldies as it was fun for the children. We overloaded our bucket and took it back to be weighed. Nearly died when it came to $29 but we did have a huge amount and that included the packet of delicious chocolate sauce to dip our strawberries in when we got home. When we arrived home we sat around the table and dipped our strawberries into the sauce and it was heaven. I have only tasted better strawberries in Hobart. These were a very close second. Full of flavour, no white centres and so lovely and firm, certainly not like you get in the supermarkets. We worked it out we had the equivalent of 6 punnets of strawberries, so the price including the chocolate sauce was pretty good. Will definitely go again.

We went as an outing whilst on holidays - we got there and it was packed! We thought we'd order some morning tea before we went to pick some strawberries - it ended up being lunch though with the amount of people there that was to be expected. I found it a little expensive (2 Scones with Jam & Cream for $8) everything we had was nice - but there was nothing exceptional about it for the price. However the freshly picked strawberries are some of the nicest I've ever had!!!!

The setting is casual, the staff are friendly and efficient. The scones are beautiful, nice and light and fluffy not like other scones. I would definitely go back. The prices are reasonable.
