Very disappointed. This was a Surprise dinner for me for my 60th. There were 2 long tables and the orders got separated and One table received their meals abut it took over an hour for the second table which had two 8 yr olds and 4 children under 5 ; the garlic cheese pizza bread (which was ordered as an entre but arrived after the mains) was burnt, as were the edges of 2 other pizzas (mains), then one plate had a plastic ring in the sauce which was returned to the staff. No apology for the delay and very poor PR. We had dined there before and the food had been good. Very disappointed for myself (my birthday) and my guests. Thank goodness for great company of family and friends

The menu here is very eclectic with a wide range of "Italian" dishes. Pasta is a little bland (it seems that South East Queensland just sticks to the boring traditional pasta), the pizza is interesting while their mains are much better and more in line with what diners expect. The chicken was excellent.

Great bar for a relaxing Friday/Saturday night! It's quiet. Drinks are good. We always get a plate of food to share too!

We have been coming to the Roman Empire for dinner for the last 10 years. The service has always been good but we just love the food! For my mother they are able to do most meals gluten free which is amazing! Thank you very much.

A great little hidden gem in the suburbs, I love that I can go to a decent restaurant and not have to fight crowds in the city or cope with parking. Quality is generally pretty good and service is enthusiastic. Value is pricey for the suburbs but when you consider the portion sizes and taste of the food, it's on par. Definitely recommend making a booking especially if you go on their buy one get one free night (Monday!). Very accommodating of children too so that's a big plus for me

Yum. Nonna was very upset. My daughter had the fettucine napoli, son had a godfather pizza while I had seafood rissoto and it was beautiful. Along with a trio of bread with dips and drinks it cost us $74 all up. Mains (as in steak etc) weren't ordered, as we prefer to go traditional, but the ones going past looked and smelt delicious

The Roman Empire is ideal for a great night out with friends and family, and it's BYO and Licensed. The menu has something for everyone, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. It's not the ideal destination for a quiet night out as it can be noisy but the Roman Empire does not pretend to be fine dining...those people complaining about the noise need to remember that.

Food was OKAY. Service was excellent when attention was on us. However was extremely busy and understaffed, venue was quite loud. Price was expensive. Not a bad choice for a semi-casual night out.

The atmosphere at The Roman Empeire restaurant was relaxed, warm and welcoming the very minute I walked in with my wife and two young sons. The owners made us feel most welcome indeed, with an amicable personal touch of customer service that is rearely experienced these days. The staff were very prompt and friendly in seeing to our order for food & coffee. The food was very fresh and of an exceptionally high quality, as was the personal service we received during our visit. The prices on the menu were very reasonable, and indeed great value for money. Over all our visit was an extremely enjoyable experience. We will certainly be going back!

The Roman Empire is a Restaurant that our family (Myself, Wife and two Daughters) visit all the time. My Wife and I just had a meal there on our own and I realised how great the food, speed of delivery and service is. The top-level experience we had, has always been consistently high on all our visits there.

Sure, it's not the cheapest Restaurant around (especially for a young family)... but, you get what you pay for.
We look forward to returning again soon.

I love this place. It can be a pity pricy but worth it. I love their pastas and the service is great. The place can get a bit noisy at night which is annoying when your trying to chat. Last time I was there there was a baby that wanted to smash everything she could find and the parents kept handing her glasses to smash. This probably is why the noise got to me and isn't the restaurants problem but the parents.

I took my 13 yo son out for dinner and decided to try somewhere new. I'm glad we chose Roman Empire Bar. The food was delicious, the waitstaff very friendly and fast. The coffee & cannoli are to die for! We will definitely go back, perhaps next to try their breakfast menu. I'd suggest booking on a Friday/Saturday as they were quite busy.

My partner and I have been eating here for the last two years now. It has always been the best Italian experience in Queensland, in our experience. Their oysters kilpatrick are to die for, as is their morton bay bug risotto. They make their pasta fresh daily and you can taste the difference.

It's well worth the price.

Went to Roman Empire for the first time tonight. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was fabulous. But what I loved most of all was that they catered for children and we all felt so welcome. A lovely dining experience. We will go back for sure.

Don't search any further people! Roman Empire is a family run restaurant with a wonderful family atmosphere that ticks ALL of the boxes. The management and staff are totally in tune with what people want and the food is to die for. We have been dining here on a regular basis for at least 9 years and really don't think to go anywhere else.
