A previously excellent lunch has undergone some belt tightening - by the publican, not the patrons!
My wife and I have had a Seniors' Lunch there many times. Until 15 June it was always excellent as to quality, quantity and price. We were told the menu had changed. No, it hadn't - just management's interpretation of the menu.

Roast dinner $24, not even a roast potatoe, boiled in jacket, no butter, no topping, meat steamed beans, tasteless

I went there with Elise for Dinner last tonight and I had the Seniors Porterhouse Steak with Chips and Elise had the Paella. We both shared had the Seniors Garlic Bread, I had a Raspberry Lemonade to drink she had and a water to drink. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

I have been here a few times now and am usually pleased with my visit. Although, recently I ordered a seafood dish and was disappointed to see that they undercooked my prawns. However, other times my meals have been perfect. The staff are always friendly and the service is rather quick.

The Rosebud Hotel is a great place to go to for a well priced, delicious meal. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they make sure you aren't left with plates on your table after eating. Would definitely recommend to anyone, but suggest to go during the quieter months as it can get quite busy in the middle of summer.

this is a great pub we went there for dinner recently and really enjoyed ourselves...i found the meals were great value and they have different meal deals and a seniors menu...my kids loved the spaghetti bolognese they got quite a decent size serving for the price too

For me, the food is everything. Service was lacking. The staff were not keen but they did their job and tended to our needs. It's the kind of place that you go up to order and collect your meal but that never bothers me.
I was surprised and delighted by how delicious my salad was. Yes, you heard me - salad! I ordered the Chicken Ranch salad (I think that's what it was called). They were happy to make it without onion in it for me. It was so tasty that I was sad when I couldn't finish the meal. Definitely can't go hungry on this salad. Between the ranch dressing, potatos, bacon, cheese and chicken - there is enough carbs for even the hungriest man. It was so nice that I'm thinking of trying to replicate it at home.
So if you find yourself in Rosebud and wondering where to get a good meal (but don't mind whether you get a smile), then this place is for you.

Really is a nice genuine pub, it is bistro style so you basically serve yourself. I travel half an hour to eat here because their 'bangers & mash' are to die for. Exceptional Pub meals without being too expensive. Worth stopping by.

AHHH all the memories of growing up come rolling back to me every time I walk into this place! Very clean but can be a very busy atmosphere. The staff are wonderful very friendly. The food is pretty good with reasonable prices. They also have pokies there if you are into using the pokies. Family friendly and just a lot of fun!
