I received my very first curly haircut from Helene at Saba recently and absolutely love it! I was quite nervous at first, but seeing Helene's expertise in cutting curly hair really put me at ease. The cutting technique is quite different to the way that I've had my hair cut straight in the past which is something to be aware of - it's more of a dragging motion up along the hair to thin out thick sections so that the curls bounce up more for more volume. This cut gave my hair so much volume and curl definition, I never knew that my curls had so much potential. It really does go to show that the cut matters when you have curly hair - if you're wearing your hair curly, you should be getting a curly cut! I was very impressed with Helene's expertise, she has clearly had much experience with cutting curly hair and was very attentive in listening to what I wanted in the cut. I would absolutely recommend you book in with Helene at Saba and give a curly cut a try, she is so talented and will make your curls look stunning!

Really happy with the service and treatment I received from Saba Hair! Megan, Melissa and Cooper were great! They put in so much time and effort to do my hair, and I loved how it turned out :) I called in to enquire about Japanese hair straightening the night before and was still able to drop by for my treatment the next morning! Staff were lovely and ensured I was out on time so I wasn't late for work. Helène the owner was lovely and super helpful over the phone too!

Amazing. I received a wonderful Japanese chemical straightening on hair which I was told by other Asian salons could not be treated because of previous keratin smoothing treatments. My hair is super straight, soft and feels and looks wonderful. I am beyond happy. Helene and her staff are all super professional and attentive, friendly, and devoted. Working as a team they cut the treatment time by hours. The price was also extremely reasonable. What a wonderful hair salon. Congratulations and thank you.

I remember Saba as one of my better cuts and colours, lovely down to earth staff and we'll priced for the area and quality of service provided.

I just moved to the area and desperately needed my hair cut and styled. So I searched online for hair salons and saw the reviews for Saba hair, so I booked an appointment and went in yesterday. The staff were so professional from the moment I walked in till I left. Jason who cut my hair did an amazing job, he had great advice and knew what he was talking about. For years I've had bad hair cut after bad hair cut and had bad luck finding the right salon, finally found a place that is professional do an awesome work and have reasonable prices. Will be going there from now on! I recommend to all!

Having jet black hair for 5 yrs, I have had 2 salons try remove the black and completely destroyed my hair and still couldn't get the black out. I have never let a salon touch my hair with color until today. Arriving nervous to Saba Hair Parramatta, after having a IN DEPTH consult with the salon owner Helene I could tell I was in good hands and we were both on the same page about what we were going to achieve. She listened, explained, asked about my hair history etc..IN DEPTH CONSULT. I felt confident going ahead. I left with no black and healthy rich red hair. The staff are wonderful ! Yummy cappuccinos 2 ! Professional and have good communication amongst each other. I loved my experience and will be making this my permanent Hairdresser :) thanks again ladies Nadia.M

Have been around the world to find a good hairdresser and finally after 50 years of average haircuts god has smiled upon me and led me to Helene and her terrific team. Will never have to look for another hairdresser again. It doesn't get any better than Saba Hair in Parramatta

Having recently moved to the parramatta area I was in search of a good local hairdresser. Reading the positive reviews of Saba hair I decided to give it a go. I went in just for a wash, cut and blow dry (my normal request when I go to the hair dressers). When I got there I was sat down by management and basically told that my hair is awful and I need some colour in it. They persuaded me to have some lighter highlights put through my mousy brown hair. They said it would be about $150 with the wash and cut too. So I had the foils put in and washed out and I couldn't notice any immediate difference. I then had a really bad blow dry which made my hair really flat and horrible. After this I noticed a massive blob of colour on top of my hair! No one said anything until I pointed it out, this is when they pretended they hadn't seen it. To fix this I then had to have two lots of toner on this blob of die, this was stinging and burning my scalp. I then had to go and lean over the sink while they pathetically tried to wash out this toner. I was then left sitting in the chair for ages before anyone came back over. The first lot of toner made it more ginger, the second lot fixed it. I was then given a dry cut by them which literally took 2 mins and I couldn't really notice the difference. They said that's all they could do because I had a really bad cut from my previous hair cut, and my hair is now something that needs 'work on' AKA I need to keep going back to Saba hair and give them my money! Anyway, in the end I wasn't very happy at all with what they had done and there was no particular difference at all. When they asked me for $160 I said I was not happy paying that. I explained how they messed it up with the blob of colour on my hair, how I had to wait for ages, how I had to squat over the sink twice and how I felt the cut was not worth the money. They got very eggy with me and said 'come on I've coloured your hair for you... Etc etc' and their customer service was very poor. I managed to get the price down to $100 which I was still not happy with but I figured I wouldn't get it any lower than that. Basically I wouldn't go there again, very poor customer service, and very poor hair cut and colour. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

I first gave Saba Hair Parramatta a try approximately two years ago. My previous salon had changed hands, prices went up and quality of colourists went down. My natural hair colour is more like a dirty looking greyish blonde and it can be very difficult to find a good colourist who doesn't give me yellow hair or an instant re-growth from foils done too far off the root. At first, Saba Hair in Parramatta seemed like they would be out of my usual price range, but after a quick chat, I was confident something could be done for what I wanted to pay. I was instantly made welcome, everyone was super friendly and to this coffee snob, the REAL cappuccinos are definitely a plus (although, I've since discovered they do hot chocs too so now I'm torn!). My colour has ALWAYS been nothing but amazing. I've had my colour done by four or five of their staff members over the years and they have all done a stellar job. Helene often pops over to check on how my colour is going and ensure it's taking well - this is a great touch, which makes me believe they care as much about how I look walking out of that salon as I do. I have no doubt her staff are so amazing they could probably do it all on their own blindfolder, but it is nice to see an owner personally ensuring the quality of everything that leaves her salon. THE CUT! THIS is what I will always come back for. OK, it may be the colour too, but when I first had my hair done at Saba Hair, I was a little puzzled as to why my hair was being blowdried before I'd had it cut. It was no mistake. Helene is a WHIZZ with the scissors and DRY CUTS. It really is an amazing artform and so much fun to watch. The scissors and her hands are flying all over the place like a scene from Edward Sciccorhands and when she's done, I am blown away every time. Helene is very big on follow-up care. She has always told me that she'd rather me come in the next day if I'm unhappy with anything to have it fixed up than go elsewhere. She makes you feel so welcome and appreciated that I honestly would... if there was ever anything I wasn't happy with. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a second free wash and hair cut a week later but I cannot ever fault anything that's come from Saba Hair Parramatta so have never had to return until may hair has grown and is in need of some more TLC. Currently, my fav colourist is Jason as he's worked on my hair the most recently, but that's me playing favourites. Helene is and always will be my most favourite "hair cut lady". I say this in inverted commas as that's what my three-year-old refers to everyone who cuts his hair. I take my kids there too and they have never complained either. Thank you Helene, Jason and everyone else at Saba Hair in Parramatta. I look forward to my next hot chocolate! ;-)
