Always a good atmosphere and lovely place to drop through whether you're in a bit of a rush or sitting down to a meal with friends. The service is excellent and the Moroccan cuisine is really enjoyable.

Stopped in for tapas and a quick drink and found it to be a little to formal for a tapas bar. There was a good selection of drinks but the tapas I tried was disappointing - the tortillas were very small and dry and I couldn't taste the filling in the empanadillas (just flaky pastry). The tapas were overpriced and not very authentic.
Maybe it works as a restaurant, but as a tapas bar - No.

I have been here on quite a few occasions with my family and with friends and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Delicious Moroccan food, served in a very pleasant environment. Yummy lamb salad, and calamari and chicken tagine are just some of the delicious dishes you can order.

Approximate cost: $20

The rib eye, great cut, well cooked and at this price, value. I took one of my friends who is a talented owner/chef of an awarded Port Douglas restaurant who commented on the quality of the beef and compared it to the price. The owner, Moustaffa has been in hospitality for some time and appears to have the chops. He served us a tapas tasting plate of his selections which was outstanding. Good range of beers, a pleasant small bar at the front overlooking Martin Street which is good enoungh to sit at if you are a walk in and are prepared to wait for a table and have a couple of drinks. Even the bar has attention to small detail.

Safi is a new tapas bar and bistro in Gardenvale. It is ideal for birthday parties (has a large room out the back) or a relaxed good value meal. Whilst it describes itself as a tapas bar the menu is diverse including pastas, morrocan tagine and steaks. I had the char grilled ribeye which was fantastic. The place is open for lunch and dinner, and serves breakfast on the weekend.

Approximate cost: $21
