It's sushi train so always popular with the family! There's a wide variety of food that's authentic. It may be slightly costly but worth the quality.

The place is small and cosy. Might be a bit of a tight squeeze for some.

This place is always busy but somehow we always managed to get seats when we go there- maybe we are just lucky. The sushi and sashimi are fresh and service is always friendly.
The prices are slightly on the expensive side but definitely worth the money.

Service is quick and friendly. Slightly costly, but great authentic Japanese dishes. Enjoyed the experience.

We were seated at our own table which was next to the sushi train but not at the train which was great as it gave us space to share the meals and have drinks plus order anything extra.

First of all the food quality here is exceptional, everything was so fresh and the serving sizes were really generous. The other standout factor was that every dish on the train was clearly labeled in English and was presented really well. This allowed us to be confident in what we wanted to try and also allowed us to experiment and try other options that we wouldn't normally try.

Although there are cheaper sushi trains around with similar quality food, we were really happy with the experience here, for the presentation of the food, the quality and the overall service.

Sakura Kaiten is one of the better sushi trains I have been to! Their menu is extensive and has a wide variety of options to cater for all sorts of tastes. There are 'conservative' sushi's and 'out there' sushis!

The staff are very friendly and welcoming! The are very attentive, removing plates so the bench does not become too cluttered, refilling drinks and asking if there is anything else you require.

The food is fresh and delicious, and can be made to order if needed. The prices are a little high for sushi train though.

The place itself is quite small so you need to either arrive early or make a booking! The wait can be up to an hour some nights as Sakura Kaiten is very popular!!!

I highly recommend Sakura Kaiten!!

Approximate cost: $6.00

Certainly a restaurant that I would highly recommended my family and friends to try out. The little restaurant is cosy and modern, service is attentive and food is great! The scallop sushi and the squid sushi were so fresh it melted in my mouth. The sushi train is interesting to watch with fresh mouth watering plates of food slowly moving along in front of you. I recommended it to my sister and it's now become one of her favourite little restaurants to dine out at. I usually try to go early (5:30pm - 6:00pm) to make sure I get a seat as it is very popular.

SUSHI TRAIN!! Woo Hoo. This palace is awesome. Its great to see the sushi being rolled in front of you and see all the amazing food go around on the 'sushi train'.

Mt top pic in regards to the food is the rice paper rolls, pumpkin croquets and the soft shell crab. Delicious

My favourite sushi place in Melbourne! This has got to be the best sushi train in VIC! I've been back time and time again :)

Although it is a small restaurant, it is intimate and has a great vibe. The food is consistently fresh and caters to all palettes - My partner isn't a huge fan of raw fish / sashimi dishes but loves the rice paper rolls, goyzas, and the variety of tempura fried delicacies.

The staff are always friendly and provide great service.
This place is very popular so I would recommend booking seats

Approximate cost: $approx $4 - $7 per plate

Went here one night while staying in Melbourne, as it was right next to our apartment (and we didnt feel like going out as we were packing). It is all very self service, no table service, you have to go up for everything, but that was ok. I dined with 4 other friends - and i got a laksa, it was pretty good, i enjoyed it - but one of my friends meals wasn't that good - and she ended up taking my laksa, and left me with hers. It was a crispy noodle dish , can't remember te name. But overall - it was nothing special, and i wouldn't go back next time i am in Melbourne

The best sushi train in Victoria. The sushi is fresh and glossy. Always a hit when I have a sushi craving. The staff are attentive and despite it being a small shop, it reminds me of the little eateries hidden in little laneways in Japan. Seems to be authentic.

Clap clap for authentic, freshly made moving sushi!

A fun way to eat! Please let me know if you agree.
