Salt has a stunning location. Beautiful, sweeping views across the famous bay. Food does not do this food justice. Most things seem frozen/reheated and the eggs taste like vinegar. Everything is really basic and lacks thought. Cheap white bread etc. The coffee is okay. It is on the hot/burnt side though. Meals are pretty pricey for the quality. The view saves it from being a total waste of time.

Lovely cafe with beautiful view over the water and the big pier. Delicious meals and snacks. However, went there once in casual clothes (neat & casual) and was treated like a second class citizen by more than one staff member. Haven't been back since.

The salt cafe has a nice view overlooking the water on the Esplanade. Prices of the meals are reasonable and it is such a pleasure to eat there because of its location and modern style. I enjoyed my meal (fish of the day) and the staff are quite prompt in serving up the meals. I recently heard that they have opened up for dinners. Will definitely give that a go one night.

amazing value breakfasts and the kids loved the pancakes, they even got a massiv scoop of icecream on them when they asked very nicely, the view over the beach while eating breakfast was beautiful, i have also stopped for coffee with friends so a great place for a quick cuppa or even a full meal, prices are great, and the staff are so cheerful,we had a great time

Great food, excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. Located straight across from the beach, the view is stunning. Been here a few times and also had a work Christmas Party here. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. A great variety to choose from and very reasonably priced for the quality of the food.

This is a beautiful little cafe/restaurant on the Esplanade in Hervey Bay. I went here to met an old friend when I was on holidays so I do not know the area. We talked for about two hours before we ordered and then another two hours after that and the staff were all very polite and friendly and even though we were there so long they did not rush us or anything. The breakfast meals we had were both very flash and tasted great. They also had plenty of choices on the breakfast menu. and the juices were really interesting and tasted great too. Defiantly reccommend!

When i went to Hervey Bay for a long weekend I ate breakfast here every morning. Soooo yummy. the best bacon and eggs and even better strawberry thickshakes.

The people at this business went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a 6yo who was having a birthday and wanted pancakes for lunch and as she had been dissapointed because the local pancake place was closed we went to Salts and after one look at that little sad face the chef made her a special batch of pancakes...these were not even on the lunch menu (only breakfast) The service was so exceptional they were even bought them to the table with 'Happy Birthday .....' actually written in chocolate on the plate. Needless to say she was thrilled. We have perviously had breakfast at this cafe. The staff are attentive and the food is very reasonably priced and the setting is perfect. It's a great place to eat.
