Super-fast service makes it a good option for dinner before seeing a movie upstairs, not a leisurely sit-down chat or romantic meal. They're always packed but even with a queue you generally aren't waiting long for a table. Tasty food, reasonably good vegetarian options.

Great food, nice decor, good atmosphere sitting outside. Can be a touch difficult to get service and seats during a busy time, but there are plenty of other options nearby if you can't get a table.

Basic chinese, nothing special really. Very standard menu and pricing. Good food though and has a pleasant restaurant atmosphere although the tables are all quite close together.

Decently priced, and very convenient if you're in town. There was nothing special about the meal or the service, but we'd certainly return if we wanted a reasonable meal.

Came here on a Friday night after 8:30pm and was packed full of people, had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for 4. Food was okay; the Nasi Goreng was very strange - they added potatoes to it (?). Most dishes around $15 Large portion size.

Fast service, ok food. They don't like you hanging around as you are occupying their table especially at lunch time, their rush hour. It is also a little cramped inside too. Not very kids friendly. Don't even think about taking a stroller or pram inside. Ok portion size.

Sammy's does do a fast service and a great takeaway lunch option for when you are running short on time. They are also happy for you to ring through the lunch order and then go and collect. I found at dinner times though the restaurant was very very busy and the staff wanted to move you through as quickly as possible. Very tasty and always hot and fresh. Make sure you make a booking to secure that table for the busier nights.

Every time I go back to visit family in Canberra, we usually always end up eating at Sammy's.
It has a high quality of food, speedy service and is always immaculate in there.

The food here tasted good but it made me sick after going there. The staff were pushy and tried to get us out the minute we finished eating. I hear lots of people mention how great Sammy's is but I don;t get what the fuss is about.

Consistently good food (solid if not amazing) and extremely speedy service. Perfect for a quick meal before or after a movie (the Dendy cinemas are just upstairs). Make sure to check out the specials board as it usually has a more interesting selection than the standard menu.
