5 reviews about Sandalford Winery

Very disappointed! I had my parents visiting from overseas, so wanted to take them to a winery, had heard great things about Sandalford, so decided to take them there. I didn't phone until the morning to make a booking, but was told I could book in for 2pm and if they weren't quite ready then we could have a complimentary wine tasting. Arrived at 2 and our table was ready - great start. As soon as we sat, we obviously became invisible! It took 20 minutes to get served, and not once did anyone make eye contact with us! It then took over 40 minutes just for our drinks to arrive!!!! Our food arrived soon after, and I must say the food I guess was worth waiting for, and it absolutely beautiful, really, really, really good!! BUT did it make up for the service? No I don't think so. I was very embarrassed taking overseas guests there, and won't be doing it again.

Our Big family group went here in January 2013 to do the "wine maker for a day" tour. It was a great day out and our tour guide was very professional and fun.
The meal in the restaurant included in the package and it was so so good. We are still talking about it months later!!
The restaurant is five star, silver service, and the table so well presented. Our food delicious and the wine to match.
A truly great day out for a special occasion.
Wine Maker For a Day, only available Saturdays and best done in a group. So much fun!!!

Approximate cost: $150.00

A up market place located on a beautiful property. It's great food but with the price tag. The adjoining shop is usually good value. A nice place for a special meal.

Approximate cost: $30

We had a work function there. Great location. The food and drinks were good but not amazing. The biggest problem is to get a taxi home as it is so remote, but the scenery and experience make it all worth it.

The setting is beautiful and ideal for a lazy afternoon lunch. The service wasn't fantastic however the food was beautiful but slightly pricey. The events they have here are always great fun and well organised.
