Semaphore Palais by the Sea

Fabulous views, but we were disappointed with the service and our meals. Way too much salt and butter, everything seemed fatty and greasy, not very fresh. Overall, we were not happy and it cost $65 for the two us.

The Palais is a good place to go on a nice sunny day and enjoy a beer and a light meal. Though expensive, the food is generally good and the outside beer garden is really good. We had the pizzas (one lamb and pesto and one Hawaiian), and they were pretty tasty. Was great to be able to watch gridiron on the giant TVs as well.

awesome place not only to eat and drink beverages but also to party on a friday or saturday night, i must say that i have spent many a nights partying on thier dance floor and it is definately a favourite :)

This is a great place with a view of the beach. My husband and I had a nice meal here and enjoyed the food and the service but unfortunately we went on a Saturday night and once it got late, I think after about 9:30, it turned into a bit of a night club with loud music and it was no longer really possible to enjoy conversation. That being said we will definitely go back but probably on a week night.

Had 18th birthday there, perfect place for it, bistro large enough to move around, not squashed in, grazing platters to share were tasty and lots of choice, Jose looked after us wonderfully, guests were all happy, and full, plenty of choices on set menu, barramundi was a great hit, chicken parmagiana was huge, had a vegetarian choice, gluten intolerance guests could chose off another menu, nothing was too much trouble, a perfect evening.

Great service. A bit pricey but the food is beautiful - nothing to complain about whatsoever! :-)

The Palais has been a great location for many lunches, dinners and functions that I have attended. The food is always good, the prices are reasonable, and the views across Semaphore Beach are great. Parking can be hard, but it's worth it.

My friends took me there on my last day in Adelaide! What a gorgeous view of the water! Service was great! Friendly atmosphere. Parking - great! The perfect place to be on a Sunday afternoon relaxing with friends!

Great place to bring friends to, the makeover has been great, casual atmosphere that everybody can enjoy, snacks throughout the day is great.

This is more like a club. They play the music way too loudly - you couldn't talk to anyone without shouting in their ear. The service was awful and the police were there all night, looking for someone, which didnt make me feel safe at all.

The food at the Palais is excellent. You pay a bit more but the quality is exceptional. Wonderful presentation and the meals come quite quickly. Then there are the fantastic views whilst you are eating. The Gaming room is quite spectacular, and they have great promotions for most days of the week.

very happy. nice place they have done it up. its in a great spot. lovely in summer. its better now with table service instead of lining up to order. it is very busy on a friday night, lots of noise and young people having a good time loud music and usually a band is on.

My fiance, friends and I often eat here. We love it so much that we have booked our wedding here. Their food is always awesome. Their prices are great. I love their share platters when I'm with my mates. They also have a great selection of wines at good prices.

It wasn't bad, food was pretty good, its a nice spot to dine, I was a bit worried about the fish tank behind the bar though, it looked very murky and I felt sorry for the fish!!!

I have only been there during the day not the evenings but it is a lovely place to have lunch, especailly on a lovely day. Their fish and chips, served with salad also, is really nice. A nice outdoor eating area.
