Shane is Patron Legal’s Sydney based lawyer.
Shane has an extensive background in workplace relations law, learning his trade under Tanya Cirkovic in Melbourne, then moving to Lander & Rogers’ Sydney based workplace relations team, before establishing Patron Legal in 2014.
He has experience in unfair dismissals, adverse actions, negotiations and dispute resolution, acting on behalf of both employers and employees. He has particular experience in the drafting of workplace policies and contracts.Shane appears regularly before the Fair Work Commission, as well as before the Courts, industrial commissions and tribunals. Shane has a passion for pro bono work and improving access to justice. He has lived in Ghana, Mexico and Chile, and is fluent in Spanish.

After a successful Australia and UK based career in the pharmaceutical industry, James commenced his legal career with industrial relations powerhouse Tanya Cirkovic & Associates in November 2012, joining the Patron Legal team in October 2015. James’ background in science and industry gives him a unique perspective on our clients’ legal and strategic issues as well as the ability to tackle problems in a rigorous and analytical way. In addition to completing his law degree at Victoria University with first class honours, James also holds a Bachelor of Science from Deakin University. He has also completed an intensive negotiation and mediation course at Humboldt University of Berlin. James also donates some of his spare time and expertise as a volunteer at the Footscray Community Legal Centre. He is a member of the Wilderness Society.
