Genuine friendly attentive service. The lamb ribs are to die for. Also had an amazingly delicious thai flavoured risotto dish, unexpected combination that worked beautifully. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Have been going to this restaurant since I was very young. Always great food and great service. It is reasonably priced and generously sized meals. They also do takeaway if you don't feel like dining in. If you're in the area, and looking for somewhere to eat, definitely check out Shanikas. It never disappoints.

The food was good but took a little while to come to the table. The service was not upto the mark, bit disappointed. Will give it another try on a week day.

You can always be assured of a great meal at Shanikas. Probably one of the dearest restaurants around the area, but always busy as they are quality providers. They also have a special focus on friendly service. It can be a little bit squashy in there the way the tables are placed and it is always packed on weekends. Book in advance.

I've eaten at Shanika's many, many times over many, many years. Last night was the most recent. Shanika's meals and service have never let me down and last night was equally as good as ever - meal was done to a 'T' and the service was excellent. Thanks for a wonderful night, Shanika's. If I had to name just one favourite restaurant in Berwick, then this one wins, hands down! Food is outstanding, service is excellent and they are always willing to cater for special dietary needs (whipping up a delicious vegan dish with just a moment's notice)! The atmosphere is rather quirky and 'old world', but I love it.

I agree that it's a bit over priced for what you're getting but pasta in general is dirt cheap to make but expensive to eat at a restaurant. They have a variety on the menu (not just pasta) most main meals are $25-$35. The one thing that amazed me is our waitress. We had a table of around 13 people & we told her our order (some even made alterations to the meal) & she didn't write a single thing down. Yet our meals came out perfectly to the exact person that ordered them & as exactly as ordered, now that's a good memory!

Been here a few times - sometimes food is great and other times a bit average. Some of the meals are quite expensive for what they are, though there are some reasonably priced options. Usually busy which is a good sign, though can get squishing in amongst lots of other people. Takeaway is good and a slightly cheaper alternative to eating out.

This is a business that has been around for a long time and for good reason. The food and ambiance is fantastic. Great service and value for money. Great selection of meals, not just Italian food, even has takeaway options and out door eating areas. Also has function area. Have always gone there on a regular basis. Now one of my friends has just got a job there I will be visiting more often. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend lives in the area where Shanika's is located, and everytime I am down there I always drag him to Shanika's! This is the best italian resturant I have been to and they are extremely helpful with the menu when I am ordering as I have coeliac disease. Their chocolate mousse is the best going round!

This is my favorite restaurant in the whole wide world. I have been going there for over 20 years. Food is fantastic, staff are very friendly, meals huge. If I order a main course, I can take the what's left over and have for lunch the next day.

Shanikas came up trumps for room service meals and drinks, atmosphere was great and they allowed us to bring our own acoustic band.

Not the best place in Berwick...although their food is good (I've been told) the two times I've been there have resulted in some serious food poisoning. The tables were crammed together and there was little space to move, The staff were in a hurry to go nowhere fast and sometimes didn't look up from the floor!

This is a great restaurant... The service is amazing, they ensure you enjoy your meal. They are great with kids and on one occasion came back and added more food to my son's plate.. On another occasion, the gentleman spent 5 minutes running around trying to accomodate us even though he had fully booked reservations, he did not turn us away immediately. The food is great, we have never ordered a meal we didn't enjoy, even the kids meals are full of flavour.

I haven't eaten in the restaurant but I love the take way. It is always tasty and the serving sizes are good value. The meals are prompt and so far have never had a problem with mixed up orders like other places. My favorite dish is the gnocchi.

We've never had a bad dining experience it is always our number 1 choice and enjoy eating in or take away. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly. Shanikas is always busy but the service is always 100%.

Shanikas is an unusual name for an Italian Restaurant, and the dishes although they sound Italian often also have ingredients, and combinations of flavors, that are not conventionally Italian and wouldn't please an Italian purist. However, the food generally tastes good, and that's the main thing! There is an obvious commitment to quality reflected in the freshness of ingredients used, the cloth tablecloths, and the service-which is impeccable. Prices are moderate, but serves are generous.

Shankia's feels like a traditional Italian restaurant should, very friendly staff with a real warm home feel about it. Nice atmosphere when dining in, good menu and the food is always excellent, whether you eat in or order take out. Seating in the restaurant can get a bit crowded sometimes, I prefer just to go in a small group or with my wife especially on special occasions.

We use then regularly for take-away meals. The food is reliably good and the staff are always friendly and efficient, however busy it is. As a vegetarian the selection is a bit limited for me, but there's always a choice of suitable items.
