To all REMOVALIST avoid this person. Does not want to pay extra for stairs or a 3rd man and assumes 4-5 steps is ground floor and expects 2 guys to lift a 300kg pool table up on steps that was not safe or secure enough. His home was newly built/renovated and ground was soft and could of got truck bogged or steps could have gave way and landed on someone causing serious injury. But client did not care for that as he just wanted his pool table up on that level. The guys did not need any help taking the piano off the truck and down the ramp as it was on trolleys but when he said to take it up on unsafe steps thats when he decided to help and try to force my guys to take it up for him when he did not mention it had to go up a level. Person did not declare stairs and we had no problem when we picked it up because it was ground floor. If he had declared steps than we would have made other arrangements to send a 3rd man out. But due to his lack of supplying us proper information about his delivery, which caused the pool table being left ground floor. It was left as far as where we could take it because like i said your home was newly built and your ground was not even stable enough to go further. Again this could have been avoided if you had planks or ply wood laid out on your soft muddy ground. Think about it for a second, do you really think we would have left it on the front lawn if we were able to get it further and the ground was cemented all the way to your front door????? it was taken as far as the ground would let us. No doubt in my mind if we did what this client said to do which was not declared on our end, we would have had someone seriously injured or got the truck bogged due to his " oh i dont need to declare steps or that i dont have solid ground my son and i and the 2 removalist will just muscle it up where i want it to go" Sorrry mate it does not work like that. We have had too many experiences where we do stupid calls and unprepared decisions where someone got hurt or cost us more money in the end due to not assesing the situation properly than applying the right tools or men to handle the task. This is not monkey removals, we do try to be professional and tackle every obstacle the right way. Trust me ive seen some bad accidents and its people like you who make stupid calls and not prepared that get people seriously hurt or killed on the worksite! we are not going to be a statistic. Its plain and simple. You failed to inform us of your access and that is because you did not want to pay extra money for the 3rd man or steps. We made the right call when our men felt unsafe about it and im sure they would of had no problem taking it up a few steps for free for you IF ONLY YOUR STEPS WERE SECURE AND SAFE. BUT NO YOU STILL HAD NOT COMPLETED YOUR FRONT DECK OR STEPS! also you caused your own damages because there was none when my guys left nor did you point it out. You only got back to me a week later with your damages and that is im assuming when you tried taking it up the steps your self and like i said someone or something got hurt. All the best peter but dont go around claiming false claims about us when we did what you paid for, and even stored it for free for you for nearly a month while you finnish building your home. Maybe we should invoice you for that yet! Everything was fine until you said take it up your dodgy steps which you did not pay for! You did not have any insurance on this because you did not pay for it. We are legally not allowed to offer you any insurance in the first place.
