I went here with a voucher: $39 for a 1 hour private lesson for 2 including tea/coffee after the lesson.

I never got the tea/coffee! But I don't mind, I wasn't really there for a drink. This place is amazing. First they fit you with either skis or a snow board (my boyfriend tried both). Then the instructor takes you to the slope - an incline with this carpet-like material that revolves to create a backward movement. The instructor holds a remote which stops/starts the belt. You just stand on the belt and practice various different maneuvers. If you stand with your skis pointed straight for example, you glide down the slope. But using the backward motion of the carpet, you can slow yourself down or stand in one spot - this is used to teach yourself speed control and breaking.

By the end of the hour, I was exhausted. You use muscles in your legs that don't often get used and I could feel it for days. Excellent work out and I imagine a great way to learn to ski before a trip to the snow! Suitable for children and adults. See their website for prices and various different packages they offer. It's a little pricey, but a very unique and fun place!

I've waterskied my whole life and when I was invited to the snow by my pro-snowboarding boyfriend I thought, "How hard could it be?" Well, was I wrong! After a whole day of falling on my bum, I was put off from the snow. But when I heard of Ski City I thought I'd give it a go.
After a few lessons my technique vastly improved. I dragged my boyfriend along for moral support and he learned a few tricks also. Not to mention we had a blast! The next time I went to the snow, I was keeping up with everyone else!
