These guys charged me more than $700 to replace a bathroom heat lamp and took over a month to fix it. Charged me first a call-out fee to "detect the fault" and again to replace the heat lamp. This was arranged through my real estate agent so unfortunately had no choice but to accept and pay this mob. Tried calling them to discuss the matter but never returned the call.

Following the advice of our project manager we employed Shane Smillie to perform the electrical work when we completely renovated a 20 year old apartment in East Melbourne. The work was extensive and probably more complex than required in a new build as it entailed the relocation of many light fittings, power points and telecommunication and TV fittings within the constraints of one unit that is surrounded by its neighbours. Our project manager demanded the highest quality from all the tradesmen that she employed so we had every confidence that Shane would be up to the challenge.
We were not disappointed. Shane and his team were outstanding. They were polite, friendly and punctual, worked seamlessly with the other trades, quickly created and implemented solutions when problems such as fitting light units into our bathrooms arose and completed all their tasks efficiently and to a very high standard.
We found Shane and Josh to be extremely helpful whenever explanations were needed or advice was requested and they went out of their way to assist with extra tasks such as connecting our media and even attended on at least two occasions to co-ordinate with other service providers.

After being recommended by one of my other qualified tradesmen I started using Shane Smillie of Smillie Electrical Services for the past number of complete renovation residential projects.

As project manager for residential projects my project timeline can be very tight. It is imperative that my trades work well in a variety of different environments and typically while other trades are onsite also doing their own individual works.
