Smithfield Hotel

After ordering the Chicken Kiev, I was disappointed with my meal. The crumbs of the Kiev were almost burnt, the chicken a little dry, and there was very little garlic inside the Kiev. The potato that came with it was instant potato with the consistency of glue, and some of my vegies were burnt too. Having said all that, my husband had the rump steak and said it was very good. Also, looking around at other meals that were being brought out, they all looked very generous in size and quite nice. It could have just been a one off, and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Not bad value for what it is. We had steak and were happy with the way it was cooked but the meat was not of great quality. Veges it came with were overcooked a bit too

Apart from the decor looking shabby,agroup of us ( five)had different meals from their tired menu.After waiting ages when the food came out it looked as bad as it tasted,you can really tell they use cheap ingredients,the steak was tough,chips tasted heavy,the greens were withered overcooked.At least I didnt suggest this place but I sure as heck wouldnt recommend it

i eat here every week and it is great, on thursday they have a meat tray draw and booze wheel its great and you have a great chance of winning. The meals are good and delicious all the time and the staff are even better...
